This sweet, quaint cottage has been owned by the same family for five generations and the property radiates their long-term love and care. Tucked away down a pretty footpath in the heart of Robin Hood’s Bay, this Grade II listed cottage is ideally located for a couple or a small family group keen to explore the beach, coastline, shops and eateries of the popular bay area. Bustling Whitby is within easy reach at 5.5 miles, offering a plethora of seaside and historic attractions. Walkers are well served too, with the North York Moors National Park on the doorstep and the spectacular Cleveland Way passing through the village.
This delightful property has accommodation over three floors. From the footpath, guests enter via a porch and here, the ground floor comprises a traditional cottage kitchen/diner with a dining table and chairs, a stunning stonework feature fireplace and views over the rooftops of Robin Hood’s Bay. There is also a large utility room with convenient storage for bikes. The first floor has a welcoming lounge with a lovely reading/relaxing area and more of those lovely rooftop views, and there’s also a bathroom on this level. On the second floor (reached by steep, winding stairs), there are two bedrooms with sloping, beamed ceilings – one double with sea views and one cosy single.
There’s no dedicated outside space here, however there is a wooden bench located outside the front of the property. Robin Hood’s Bay Beach is just over 300 metres away.
