This three AA rosette restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients (Horto stands for ‘Kitchen Garden’) and offers guests a choice of à la carte and a tasting menu. Also at Rudding Park is The Clock Tower which offers a range of menus including Afternoon Tea and the popular Yorkshire Tapas.

3. Bettys

No trip to Harrogate is complete without a visit to Bettys – the popular tearoom has been part of the town since 1919. As well as the traditional afternoon tea and fat rascals, you can also get food ranging from fish and chips to eggs benedict.

This popular restaurant on Royal Parade is a mainstay of the Harrogate dining scene. There’s a set menu available at certain times of the day making it excellent value for money. There is also a wide choice of dishes on the à la carte menu.
