Life can be such a rush sometimes. Children’s birthday parties, the weekly shop, working until the early hours, the school run – it all adds up to a pretty hectic life.
Sometimes I just yearn to get away from everything, to reconnect with nature and slow things down a little. So every so often we pack up the kids and head for a secluded cottage holiday, somewhere we can truly switch off and relax.
I’m sure we are not alone so I’ve put together a collection of our most secluded Yorkshire cottages – keep it handy, and the next time you feel the need to escape the rat race, book one and go!
