Situated in the wonderful spa town of Harrogate, this delightful cottage is the perfect romantic retreat for couples looking to explore Harrogate itself, the surrounding Yorkshire countryside and other nearby market towns. Occupying a quiet location in a leafy suburb, the property is still within a mile of the bustling town centre where there are plenty of shops, eateries and amenities to choose from. Harrogate is conveniently located between Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, allowing guests to enjoy the variety of stunning landscapes by taking to one of the many walking/cycling trails available to them. For something more cosmopolitan, larger cities Leeds and York are also within 20 miles.

This unique cottage has been sympathetically refurbished to ensure it suits a modern couple, whilst maintaining some of its charming original features. Old and new effortlessly blend together to create a warm and inviting home that is perfect for couples looking to escape their hectic pace of life.

On entering the property, you'll find yourself in the hallway, which is the ideal spot to discard coats and shoes. From here, lead into the compact, yet well-equipped, kitchen with its quartz worktops and Belfast sink. The exposed stone walls and beams add a sense of heritage, whilst the contemporary cottage-style kitchen is attractive and practical. The ground floor is also home to the lounge/diner. Once again, original features such as exposed beams and an original fireplace add a sense of rustic charm, but rich fabrics, soft throws and comfy chairs make it feel warm and cosy.

The narrow staircase in the kitchen leads up to the first floor. Here you will find the immaculate king-size bedroom, where a neutral palette and simple furniture adds a sense of calm. Completing the accommodation is a spacious, contemporary bathroom with a luxurious free-standing bath and a large shower cubicle.

Outside, there is a small, enclosed courtyard with garden furniture, which is the perfect place for al fresco dining for two.

Off street parking space.

Roadside parking is available subject to availability approximately 20 yards away from the property.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town effortlessly combines traditional elegance with contemporary style - the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town

.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag, there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (1.5 miles) are also a fantastic option for families.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breathtaking Nidderdale is 15 miles north, and heading south-west you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (17 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 17 miles away. The National Trust''s Brimham Rocks (11 miles) is also worth a visit with its interesting rock formations.

York is within easy reach (22 miles) and a day trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth the effort.
