As part of the Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale has breathtaking moorland scenery interwoven with rolling green hills, making it very popular with walkers and cyclists alike. With trails and paths on your doorstep, you'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to getting out and enjoying the fresh, country air. And if you'd like to try something more adventurous, there are plenty of opportunities for climbing, kayaking and other activities nearby. Nestled in the tranquil village of Darley within 300 metres of its 17th-century pub, you can enjoy all the benefits of a rural setting while still being within easy reach of local towns such as Pateley Bridge (6 miles) and Harrogate (10 miles).
This attractive detached home is steeped in history and its sympathetic restoration makes the most of original features such as exposed beams and fireplaces. A bistro set allows you to make the most of these views over a morning coffee, whilst planning the day ahead. After a hearty meal, you can retire to the beautiful lounge with its three comfy sofas and soak up the warmth of the roaring wood burner.
Upstairs, there are four bedrooms. The first of these is a delightful super king-size (which can be made up as a twin on request) and then there are two doubles and one twin. Completing the accommodation is a large, classic bathroom finished to a very high standard, where you can either refresh yourself in the shower or relax in the free-standing roll-top bath.
Outside, the garden is a vast lawn area and is surrounded by the rolling green hills of Nidderdale. There is also a patio area with dining furniture for a spot of al fresco dining or stargazing. Guests are welcome to use the stables for storing bikes or other large equipment. Please be aware that there might be times when the owner needs access to the garage. There is off-road parking for up to four cars. Regret no children under seven years, but children under 12 years by arrangement.
