Nestled amongst an attractive row of terraced houses, this spacious townhouse is in a quiet area of Harrogate, whilst being within easy distance of the many attractions and amenities in the town. With four bedrooms, this house would suit families or groups of friends looking to explore Harrogate, nearby market towns and the stunning Yorkshire countryside. Its location between the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means guests have plenty of walking/cycling trails and routes available to them away from the busier towns and cities. The property is also within a few hundred metres of the English Heritage Grade II- listed Valley Gardens which, along with woodland, covers 17 acres. There are lots of outdoor activities to do in the gardens as well as concerts every weekend during the summer. The gardens also provide a more pedestrian-friendly, pleasant route into the town centre.

Lovingly restored by its owners, this property is a wonderful mix of traditional and contemporary, much like the town of Harrogate itself. Contemporary colours and patterns blend effortlessly with original features and traditional furniture to create a truly eclectic, individual style throughout. You are welcomed into this property by the hallway and its original stone floor, which is the perfect place to shed your muddy boots and coats.

Moving into the open-plan living area, the bright and airy lounge is situated at the front of the property with a beautiful, original fireplace as its focal point. (Please note: there is not an open fire or wood burner). The kitchen/dining area has plenty of seating for everyone and is well-equipped to ensure you can cater for everyone’s needs. There is also a handy utility area in the open space under the stairs.

Up the reasonably steep stairs, you will find a delightful single room, a spacious king-size room and a large bathroom with a free-standing bath and separate shower. Up a further flight of stairs, there is a zip-and-link super king-size room (which can be made up as a twin on request), another double room and a shower room. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated to provide a restful atmosphere.

From the kitchen, you can access a private patio area with dining furniture for a spot of al fresco eating. The patio is the perfect place to catch the  sun during the summer. There is non-restricted street parking in front of the property.

  • 4 bedrooms-1 king-size, 1 super-king-size which can be made up as a twin (please advise at the time of booking), 1 double, 1 single

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town effortlessly combines traditional elegance with contemporary style. And the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Bettys tea room is a must and if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere including the Valley Gardens which are within 200 metres of the property. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr (1.5 miles) are also a fantastic option for families. Guests, both young and old, may also like to visit other picturesque attractions such as the National Trust’s unique Brimham Rocks (10.5 miles) or Ripley Castle and Gardens (4.5 miles).

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors so makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breath-taking Nidderdale is 17 miles north, and heading south-west you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (17 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 17 miles away.

The ancient walled city of York is 24 miles away and well worth the journey as it has plenty to see and do, such as the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Viking Centre, The Shambles (a labyrinth of cobbled streets packed with shops and eateries) and York Minster Cathedral.

Fabulous place! Within 10/15 minutes walk of everywhere you want to go in Harrogate. Beds & pillows were super comfy and kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Would definitely recommend Sunday lunch at the Fat Badger, massive portions and beautifully tender meat. We also went to the Turkish Baths which we all thoughly enjoyed. we took theRead more train to York for the day but I think Harrogate has a better selection of shops & restaurants than York, more independants rather than chains. Lovely house in a great location. Warm & comfortable in the cold weather. The kitchen is well equipped though the dishwasher and fridge are small for a large party & there is no separate freezer. We had a glitch during our stay but communications with the owner were swift & faultless & the issue was resolved the same day .
