This gorgeous three-bedroom, three-bathroom luxury holiday home is set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the cusp of the North York Moors. It is perfect for families and groups of friends looking for the very best in self-catering accommodation in a beautiful rural location with the delights of foodie Helmsley just 8 miles away.

Once part of an old double storey barn, this property has now been transformed into one of Yorkshire's most desirable holiday cottages. Each room has the wow factor, and none more so than the 30-foot-long living / dining area. No expense has been spared with the interiors - the property enjoys oak-style Italian porcelain floors, sumptuous furnishings and a showpiece designer wood burner. The living area of this fabulous room is also home to two comfy sofas, a snuggle chair and a TV. Wi-Fi is included too if you want to catch up online. At the opposite end of the room you'll find a large dining table with six luxurious chairs, in addition to a statement dresser. The lighting in this room has four different settings so you can adjust it to suit the mood and a Sonos sound system provides the background music.

Next door you'll find the galley style kitchen, with a gorgeous Italian heated floor. There's a large range-style cooker, perfect for larger groups to cook on, a full size fridge/freezer and contemporary units stocked with all the equipment you'll need - simply self-catering heaven. And if you don't feel like cooking the owners can provide a full cooked breakfast and dinner services for an extra supplement. Granite worktops are another little luxury in here. A dishwasher and washer/dryer are provided too for your convenience.

Upstairs, discover three spacious bedrooms in this accommodation, all of which boast en-suite facilities. The first bedroom is a gorgeous Indian-themed room with bright fabrics and colourful chairs giving it a playful and modern look. This room features an exquisite king-size cast iron bed and has its own en-suite shower room with a huge walk-in shower. The second bedroom is just as lovely, again with a beautiful king-size bed complete with its own canopy overhead. This room also enjoys an en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. The third bedroom is a very sweet twin room, with single beds end to end. The en-suite bathroom for this room has a fabulous double-ended bath. Complimentary toiletries are included from the Candle Company, as are huge fluffy towels for each guest.

There is much to enjoy outside of this luxury Yorkshire Cottage too. Step out into your own enclosed private garden with hot tub, looking out over the North York Moors. Garden furniture is provided as well as a BBQ for those balmy summer evenings. Additional facilities include a shared hard court for tennis, a shared billiards room and a croquet set, so lots to keep you entertained.

This property occupies an enviable location: sitting within a farm on the cusp of the North York Moors this gorgeous rural setting is within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, much of which you can see from the property. There are no less than three established footpaths leading directly from the farm to across stunning countryside to neighbouring villages and towns.

The cottage is under half a mile from Gillamoor, an attractive North York Moors village with a local village pub. Travel a mile south to the pretty town of Kirkbymoorside which has much to offer including a gallery, antique shops, tea-rooms, deli, wine shop and butchers. There's also a great market on Wednesdays. From there you can move on to the vibrant and attractive Yorkshire market towns of Pickering and Helmsley (just under 10 and 8 miles respectively); both of which have an abundance of good restaurants, tea-rooms and independent shops.

Beyond the farm lies the North York Moors. A landscape like no other, it's a place of gentle rolling hills of heather, ancient woodlands and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys. If you want to get away from it all take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands. The famous Blakey Ridge affords some of the best views in the country in our opinion, and is just 8.5 miles from the cottage. And if walking is your thing, you are surrounded on all sides by some truly stunning routes.

The Haven is also close to the North Yorkshire Coast, with the gothic town of Whitby and the picture-postcard fisherman village of Robin Hood's Bay both around 30 miles away. Take a day trip here and experiences the sights sounds and tastes of Yorkshire's coastline and make sure you don’t miss out on the fish and chips!

Hutton-le-Hole, quite possibly the most beautiful village in the North York Moors, is just under 3 miles away and you're also close to Castle Howard (15 miles) so you have lots of choice for day trips.

Highly recommend this property. Great walk to pubs at Kirkbymoorside or Gillamoor. Longer walk to Hutton le hole and then Lastingham was stunning via Gillamoor. Otherwise plentiful stunning walks within a 30 minute drive of the farm. So many special wildlife experiences during our week, ring ouzels, red kites, oyster catchers, curlews, lapwings, roRead moree deer and hares! Holiday home was perfect. Had everything you needed. Facilties were great and we certainly used them all. Had great fun playing each other at table tennis, darts, snooker and tennis. Kids also played footie and basketball in the court in next village. Great walks nearby, not far from the coast and a day trip to York was less than an hour away! My dRead moreaughter said it was the best holiday she's had. My son thought the brownies were the best ever! Thanks Jane. Hide
