Beyond the village lies the North York Moors. A landscape like no other, it's a place of gentle rolling hills of heather, ancient woodlands and lazy rivers winding through lush green valleys.

If you want to get away from it all take a trip to the top of the high central moorlands. The famous Blakey Ridge affords some of the best views in the country is just a few minutes' drive from the cottage. And if walking is your thing, you are surrounded by some truly stunning routes. Hutton-le-Hole, quite possibly the most beautiful village in the North York Moors, is just around the corner and you're also close to Castle Howard and York, so lots of choice for day trips.

A lovely cottage on the edge of a small quiet village with a pub by the moors and as it is very close to the moors it is handy if you have got dogs or if you simply like the views of the moors or the surrounding farm land.
