Romantic by name, romantic by nature, this bolthole cottage is the perfect getaway for those looking to enjoy a slow-paced retreat to a peaceful village, whilst sitting close to many of York's attractions.
This delightful bolthole is set behind Holtby House, a beautiful Georgian manor house in the centre of a pretty Yorkshire Wold's village called Holtby. This luxury cottage has a lovely aspect looking out onto a sunny courtyard to the front. This is the perfect getaway choice for a romantic break for two, for those of you who like to be close to a city, in this case York, and still be situated with village environs.
Inside you'll find a gorgeous bespoke kitchen with granite worktops, stone floors and period range. Fully-equipped for all your self-catering needs, it includes an oven and hob, and other hand appliances. This leads onto a comfortable lounge complete with its wood burner and leather sofa to sink into at the end of the day of touring the city of York and the Wolds. Throughout the property you will find all of the creature comforts you would expect including Wi-Fi, TV / DVD and a radio.
The master bedroom is on the first floor up a wooden staircase. The star of the show here is the king-size antique bed and lovely large window looking out onto the courtyard. The en-suite is truly stunning, with a French bateau bath, an enormous walk-in shower with rainfall shower head and WC.
To the front of the cottage is a neat and compact courtyard a real sun trap, perfect for a spot of al fresco dining or a pre-dinner drink during the summer months. There is a BBQ too to sizzle up some delicious treats, the perfect dining enhancement for any holiday.
