A beautiful family holiday home taking advantage of the glorious views, the property has an upside-down layout with the generous living room set on the first floor. This bright and spacious room has bags of contemporary character with soothing grey walls and accents of lime green. Painted floorboards and comfy seating complete the look. At the far end of the living room bi-folding doors open up to the elevated terrace outside. Home to the hot tub and patio set, it's a fantastic space to relax with friends and family whilst taking in those views.

If you can drag yourself away from the scenery, a TV with Freeview is provided for your evening entertainment. Wi-Fi is also available if you want to catch up online or have teens in tow who need to connect.

Let's go back downstairs and explore the ground floor. This floor is home to the kitchen/diner as well as one of the bedrooms. Underfloor heating throughout downstairs is a welcome touch. The kitchen has an elegant contemporary look and the usual mod cons are provided including a full-size fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Light floods into the room from floor to ceiling windows and patio doors which make up the full wall on one side. The elegant dining table sits right by the window affording lovely views of the estate outside. The doors open onto a small terrace with a lawned area beyond that's perfect for picnics.

The downstairs bedroom is just along the hall and features a king-size bed and en-suite wet room -perfect if you're travelling with someone with reduced mobility. The remaining two bedrooms are both upstairs, a king-size and a super-king (which can be configured as two singles if requested). Both of these rooms also have en-suite wet rooms.

This pretty property is in a beautiful location set within a large estate on the cusp of the Yorkshire Dales. With 28 miles drive taking you to Middlesborough near the River Tees estuary, and only a 5-mile drive down to Richmond, it's an ideal basecamp from which to strike out and discover these unique Yorkshire locations.

The property is set on the edge of a very pretty village. If you're a bit of a foodie there are several more gastopubs throughout the area and delis, tea rooms, and farm shops, perfect for picking up dining essentials. It's also the perfect location if you enjoy walking. There are lots of beautiful routes from the doorstep and Gilling West is well-known as a great starting point for walking - seasoned ramblers come from miles around to set off from the village.

This stunning Yorkshire cottage is just a few miles away from Richmond, a historic market town with much to offer the discerning holiday-maker. Explore the cobbled market square or head up towards Richmond Castle for a slice of Yorkshire history. Travel towards Reeth (14 miles) or on to Hawes (28 miles) in Wensleydale for a true taste of this magnificent countryside.

North of the cottage is the charming town of Barnard Castle (12 miles). It's a pretty little place with a host of shops, cafes and pubs to explore. The Bowes Museum here is well worth a visit and, as the name would suggest, there's a historic castle to explore too. To take in the North York Moors head further south still and brave it up Sutton Bank (40 miles), the view is breathtaking.

Absolutely stunning barn conversion. Literally has everything you need. Never stayed anywhere before what has all equipment and cleaning products your going to need for your stay. The beds are so comfortable, the best nights sleep we have had for a while. Lovely location. 5 minite drive into Richmond Town.
