A gorgeous Grade II listed three-bedroom luxury holiday cottage nestling in a stunning Swaledale village. Perfect for families with its enclosed private garden, there are fabulous walks from the doorstep, breathtaking views from most rooms and a local gastropub. A little slice of Yorkshire holiday heaven.

Dating back over 250 years, this holiday home is a handsome double-fronted traditional stone cottage which enjoys an elevated position in one of the Yorkshire Dales' sweetest villages. Looking directly out onto Swaledale's trademark meadows, barns and drystone walls, the views are simply spectacular. And the interiors are rather special too.

Inside, you'll find an immaculate and welcoming holiday home with plenty of space for the whole family. Let's start with the cosy and comfortable lounge. The focus of the room is a large stone inglenook fireplace, home to a multi-fuel stove to warm your toes by each evening. Take your pick from several comfy sofas and a lovely easy chair by the fire, the perfect spot to curl up with a good book and a glass of red or two. There's a TV complete with Freeview and a DVD player along with a library of DVDs - that's if you can drag your eyes away from the view. There's also an iPod dock and MP3 player as well as Wi-Fi if you need to catch up online.

Directly opposite this room you'll find the farmhouse-style kitchen/dining room, a lovely bright room with a friendly vibe and those great views again. In here you'll find a fridge/freezer, oven and induction hob, dishwasher and washer/dryer. Next to the window is a large farmhouse dining table, perfect for gathering around over noisy breakfasts, planning what you'll see and do later that day. And if you get a peaceful moment to yourself, settle down here with a nice cup of coffee, gazing out to the gorgeous landscapes of Swaledale below.

All of the bedrooms in this luxury Yorkshire Dales cottage are on the first floor. The first is a beautiful master bedroom boasting a king-size bed, TV/DVD player and of course those fabulous views. It also has a large en-suite bathroom with underfloor heating and a large walk-in shower. There are an additional two twin bedrooms in the cottage, both of which feature two full-size single beds. The family bathroom is also up here and includes a bath with a shower overhead. Just the ticket if you have young children to scrub down after a day exploring the Dales.

On this floor you'll also find a stunning garden room, filled with light this sun-drenched room leads directly out to the elevated rear garden. With underfloor heating, it's lovely and warm throughout the year and is a perfect spot to nestle down with a glossy magazine while the kids run around in the garden.

The garden itself is a very pleasant spot; enclosed and sheltered, it's a real sun-trap in the summer. There's a lovely bistro table and chairs for you to enjoy lunch alfresco or throw out a picnic blanket on the lawn and enjoy a nice bottle of fizz. There is also a small cottage garden to the front of the property, complete with a bench to take in those fabulous Yorkshire views.

This holiday home is in an idyllic location set in an elevated position in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales. Looking out onto the meadows of Swaledale and the River Swale beyond, the views from the cottage are truly breathtaking.

This property is in the heart of the charming village of Low Row with incredible views of the surrounding landscape of the Dales, just beyond the village is the stunning countryside of Swaledale. The scenery all around is real picture-postcard stuff, with ancient old drystone barns peppering the dramatic hills and valleys. May sees the annual Swaledale Festival, two weeks of amazing music, art, walking and culture and the delightful Muker show in September is another calendar highlight.

This area of the Dales is also particularly renowned for its spectacular wild flower meadows in the spring. People come from all over the world to see the fields come alive with every colour under the rainbow, a unique phenomenon due to the fact that the local farmers don't use chemicals on the fields. But every season has its charm, from the lush green summers to the dramatic and beautiful winters. With no street light pollution for miles around, the stars at night are dazzling.

It's a true walker's paradise here and there are some beautiful trails from your doorstep. The circular walk around Blades (1 mile away) is lovely and the famous Coast to Coast Walk passes nearby.

Of course, this is also supreme cycling country with routes from the village. With bike storage available why not challenge yourself and some friends to take on the mighty Buttertubs Pass, 8 miles away.

We also recommend taking a tour of the Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Dales Trail, a circular route which passes through Low Row and takes you through some of the most dramatic scenery in the UK. This land of Viking place names, waterfalls, rivers and ravines is like nowhere else on the planet, don't forget to take the camera. And on the way back down you can stop for lunch at one of the amazing pubs in the area.

Superb location in Swaledale . It felt like I was staying in some ones home rather than a rental property . I like to cook and had no issues with the cooking equipment supplied . Sharp knives , a real blessing . Would rent again . Kind Regards Andrew

A lovely cottage in a brilliant location with superb valley views. It was comfortable, cosy and warm. The kitchen was really well equipped, much better than many cottages. There was enough room for 6 to be comfortable. An issue on arrival was efficiently dealt with by the owner.

The location of the cottage was perfect. Very peaceful. Particularly enjoyed sitting at the kitchen table. Looking out of the window towards the dales beyond and listening to the radio. We hope to return in the future. Thank you.

We had a lovely holiday in the cosy cottage. It had everything we needed in a beautiful setting. The birds at the cottage were a joy, Remember to shut the front gate to keep the sheep out! Food at The Punch Bowl was very good as were the many walks in Swaledale - there were plenty of useful guides in the cottage.

Moor View is ideally situated for many local walks in Swaledale and for enjoying the flower meadows at Muker. It is a warm and comfortable cottage, well stocked and a good welcome basket. It's also very handy for the pub where tables need to be booked in advance.
