The open-plan living area is home to the lounge, kitchen and dining area, and features French doors leading out to a quiet and sheltered stone patio. The lounge has a comfy sofa to cosy up on and a living-flame stove to warm your toes by. Curl up here after a day's sightseeing and enjoy a movie with your loved one or pull up a chair by the fire and start that book you've been looking forward to for ages. There's a LCD TV with DVD and Wi-Fi is provided too.
The kitchen has shaker-style units giving this area a bright and warm appeal. Adding to the cosy and welcoming vibe of this cottage, expect to find some delicious home-baked goodies on your arrival. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and the cupboards are well-stocked with all of the utensils needed to rustle up a romantic dinner for two. The dining area sits next to the kitchen and is a relaxing spot to settle down and eat, whatever the time of day. Guests also have access to a larger freezer, washing machine and dryer if needed. The bedroom comes complete with a cast iron king-size bed and chunky solid oak furniture. Two windows let in streams of light and the crisp cotton bedding is a joy to wake up in each morning. The bathroom sits right next door and houses a shower cubicle. It's also got underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, always welcome additions.
Outside, there's a lovely private patio just outside the lounge French doors. With a charming bistro table and chairs provided and the use of a BBQ, it's a heavenly spot for lunch or dinner alfresco in the warmer months. There's also a well-maintained lawn which is the perfect sun trap in the warmer months. And just down the lane within the grounds, there are plenty of places to throw down a rug by the river and enjoy a picnic with a bottle of bubbly or two.
