Spectacular traditional stone cottage boasting breathtaking views of Swaledale, offering plenty of space for families looking to uncover the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and beyond.

Introducing a spectacular four-bedroom traditional stone cottage with breathtaking views of Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Set in an elevated position above the pretty village of Low Row, this stunning property offers bags of space for the whole family and the sort of view you can only dream about. It's also been given lots of contemporary touches including underfloor heating and Wi-Fi.

Let's start with the huge kitchen dining space. We love the elegant and classic design in here and the fact that lots of people can move around comfortably in this large space. The kitchen boasts a double American-style fridge/freezer, two fan ovens, five-ring hob and a dishwasher. It also has a lovely view right down the dale from the window above the sink, always good to have something nice to look at when you're washing up! It's also well-equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm for the family.

The dining area has a table which will comfortably seat 12 people and it looks directly out towards the countryside to the front of the property. There is a handy separate utility down here and a sofa in the corner, a nice area to relax while someone else does the cooking. A downstairs shower room is perfect for walkers to refresh after a hike over the hills and it also houses the washing machine and dryer.

Moving along this fabulously long house to the living areas. There is a generous sitting room complete with a wood burner and a Smart TV with DVD. You'll also find lots of family games, books, local info, walking maps and even binoculars for stargazing, to keep everyone entertained. You'll love the sunroom area where you can nestle down with a good book next to the gorgeous views. Next door is the main house snug, the perfect spot for children and grown-ups to escape to. It also has a TV with DVD. And if you have young children in your party, you can rest assured in the knowledge that there are permanent stair gates in the house to keep everyone safe.

The cottage has four good-sized bedrooms, all of which have amazing front aspect views, excellent pocket sprung mattresses and the finest quality bed linen. There are two master bedrooms which have en-suite bathrooms, one with a separate bath and walk-in shower overlooking the fabulous views of Swaledale and are set up as super-king beds. In addition, the other two bedrooms can be set up as super-kings or twins as required, giving you total flexibility depending on the make-up of your party. Both of these bedrooms share a family-size bathroom with bath and overhead shower.

If you think the interiors of this large luxury cottage in Swaledale are impressive, just wait until you step outside. There is a beautiful stone patio which stretches the full length of the house, and another stone seating area just to the side affording an abundance of shelter to sit down to lunch alfresco. There's also a BBQ available to use. Down a few steps takes you to a sweeping enclosed lawn which is perfect for children to run around on, and rather wonderful for picnics too. The cottage comes with lots of great outdoor toys.

This cottage is the sister property to the gorgeous Laykin, just down the hill. This property sleeps seven guests and can be booked together with this cottage to sleep up to 15 adults comfortably with room for cots. Enquire with us to find out more.

This cottage has a simply stunning location, set high up in Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales, with one of the best gastropubs in Yorkshire around a 15-minute walk away. Looking down over Swaledale's trademark meadows peppered with stone barns and dry-stone walls, the property is accessed via a fairly steep road with a few sharp bends, then down a private gravel road, so take your time on the way up. This is Yorkshire after all, so there's no rush! May sees the annual Swaledale Festival, two weeks of amazing music, art, walking and culture and the delightful Muker show in September is another calendar highlight.

This area of the Dales is also particularly renowned for its spectacular wildflower meadows in the spring. Visitors flock from all over the world to see the fields come alive with every colour under the rainbow. But every season has its charm, from the lush green summers to the dramatic and beautiful winters. And with no street light pollution for miles around, the stars at night are dazzling.

It's a true walker's paradise here and there are some enchanting walks literally from your doorstep. The circular walk around Blades is lovely and the famous Coast-to-Coast route passes nearby. And of course, this is supreme cycling country, with the recent Tour De France passing right below the cottage. You'll see a reminder of it on the drystone wall to the left of the property. With lockable bike storage available, why not challenge yourself and some friends to take on the mighty Buttertubs Pass, just a few miles away?

We also recommend taking a tour of the Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Dales Trail, a circular route which takes you through some of the most dramatic scenery in the UK. This land of Viking place-names, waterfalls, rivers and ravines is like nowhere else on the planet - don't forget to take the camera.

Fantastic peaceful, scenic location. Property has everything you could need, super comfortable, warm, spacious. A credit to the owners. First time driving up the track was a little scary, but well worth the 3 point hairpin bend! Would love to go again to escape urban life.

This is a beautiful cottage in a spectacular location. The cottage is beautifully furnished and really well equipped - really very comfortable. Its location is superb, in the heart of God's Own Country, and great for walking or just enjoying the views from the house and gardens. Definitely a 5 star cottage!

The cottage was immaculate with everything you could possibly need. The location was fabulous with fantastic views. Access to the cottage could be tricky and the walk to the pub is a fitness regime. Our daughter and her family were absolutely enthralled with everything. We are in our mid 70's and just about managed the hill when we had to leave ourRead more car at the bottom owing to a car problem. Many thanks to Louise for her help with garage info. which enabled us to get the problem sorted. Hide

A spotlessly clean cottage set in a wonderful location with spectacular views of Swaledale. Some of our party were slightly daunted by the drive from the valley bottom to the cottage but the views and the peace and quiet of its location made it worthwhile. It has an extremely well appointed kitchen and has two seating areas (ideal when some of our Read moreparty wanted to watch rugby!). The walks straight from the cottage door were wonderful. Hide
