We are thrilled to introduce you to this luxury barn conversion in beautiful Teesdale County Durham near the northern fringes of the Yorkshire Dales. With five fabulous en-suite bedrooms, a wow-factor open-plan living area and hot tub with knock-out views of the Teesdale Way, this is the ultimate celebration property for discerning families and groups of friends.
No expense has been spared in transforming this old stone barn into a contemporary and luxurious holiday home. Designed to cater for larger groups, you'll find spacious accommodation and every modern comfort throughout, including underfloor heating downstairs.
Enter the property via a dramatic entrance hall complete with a feature chandelier, sweeping staircase and mezzanine landing. Heated Yorkshire flagstones underfoot provide a warm welcome. Make your way through to the heart of the barn, the beautiful open-plan living space home to the lounge, kitchen and dining area. Those gorgeous heated flagstones continue in this room and are joined by exposed stone walls, oak trusses and vaulted ceilings. Light streams in from the large French doors leading to the stone terrace outside, and beyond, those glorious uninterrupted views of the Teesdale Way.
Take your pick from the choice of two comfy sitting areas, the first of which snuggles around the cosy wood burner. Get the fire roaring and settle down for a good old catch up with a glass of wine or two. The second snug area sits at the opposite side of the room, just the place for children and teens to have their own space. There are lots to keep you entertained each evening including a Smart TV with Netflix. Settle down to a family movie after a day exploring the Dales. A Bluetooth speaker provides the soundtrack and Wi-Fi is included. If you're craving a little off-line fun, board games are also provided.
The living area leads onto the striking kitchen with its super-stylish units and sleek quartz worktop. You'll love the breakfast bar area, the perfect spot to perch with a glass of bubbly while someone rustles up dinner. The kitchen comes with family-sized appliances including a six-plate induction hob, two NEFF ovens, a large fridge with separate freezer, a dishwasher and two full-size wine fridges (well this is a celebration house after all!). There's also a washing machine housed within a large hallway cupboard, very handy if little ones have enjoyed a good old jump around in muddy puddles.
The dining table sits adjacent to the kitchen within this open-plan space, a wonderfully rustic huge slab of wood which has been honed into a family-sized table. Pick up some local produce at one of the excellent local delis and settle down to a laughter-filled feast. Plenty of room for the whole family as this large table will seat up to 10.
There are five generous en-suite bedrooms in this large luxury holiday home, two of which are set on the ground floor. Both ground floor bedrooms are large rooms boasting wall-mounted TVs and king-size beds (which can also be configured as two full-size singles if requested). In the first bedroom, exposed stone walls combine with soft shades to create an elegant peaceful feel. This room enjoys access to an en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower overhead.
Bedroom two continues the luxurious feel with its upholstered bedstead, soft carpet underfoot and en-suite shower room. As an added luxury, the ground floor is also home to a separate contemporary wet-room and WC.
The remaining three bedrooms are all upstairs and again, all benefit from en-suite shower rooms and TVs; a nice little extra if you fancy escaping on your own to enjoy a lazy morning in your pyjamas. Bedrooms three and four both have king-size beds and walk-in wardrobes, with the final bedroom configured as a twin with two full-size single beds.
There is much to love outside too. Throw open the French doors from the lounge and step out onto a large flagstone terrace which is completely enclosed by traditional stonewalling. The views from the terrace are simply amazing looking directly down over the River Tees and Teesdale Way. And the best thing is, you can enjoy them from the bubbly warmth of your hot tub. Grab your swimming costume and a bottle of fizz, it's time to celebrate!
Outdoor furniture and a BBQ are provided, so you can make the most of those balmy summer evenings as the sun sets over the horizon. There's also a handy outside tap if you need to wash down bikes, muddy walking boots or dogs. Keen cyclists will also appreciate the bike secure provided.
