Welcome to this unique and seriously stylish two-bedroom holiday home just four miles from the delightful spa town of Harrogate. With its chic look, contemporary comforts and gorgeous location, this is the perfect Yorkshire cottage. As the name suggests, this luxury holiday cottage is set on what was once a railway station platform. Reminders of its heritage can be found all around giving the cottage a comforting sense of history and charm. All of the rooms are set on one level, making it a good choice for those with reduced mobility.
Inside you'll find a stunning open-plan living space housing the lounge, kitchen and dining area. There's warm wooden flooring throughout, and lovely views of the surrounding countryside are brought in via floor to ceiling sliding doors. The lounge includes a feature wall filled with sporting memorabilia giving the room a real sense of character and fun. At the centre of this space is a cosy and contemporary wood burner - just pop on your PJs and curl up beside it with a nice glass of red or two. There are plenty of comfy spots to claim as your own and with a large LCD TV/DVD Player, MP3 player and Wi-Fi there's plenty to keep you entertained. And if you prefer to unplug for a bit, you'll find plenty of board games and books to enjoy.
Sitting beside the lounge is the fabulous kitchen, complete with a NEFF induction hob, Siemen's microwave/oven, dishwasher and large fridge/freezer. You'll love the sleek white Corian worktops and the kitchen cupboards are well stocked with everything you'll need. There's also a breakfast bar, just the spot for a hearty breakfast or pre-dinner glass of bubbly. For more substantial meals the separate contemporary dining table is perfect. There isn't a washing machine but access to washing facilities are available at the property.
There are two bedrooms in the property, a lovely twin room and the main bedroom which is semi open-plan from the lounge. This room features a king-size bed to stretch out on and is found to the right of the living space, separated by the memorabilia wall. The stunning family bathroom/wet-room sits beside the twin bedroom and boasts a double walk-in shower and WC. Underfloor heating in here is a welcome addition.
There is much to enjoy outside including a landscaped garden with lawn and a special spot to enjoy a sundowner. In the summer months throw open the sliding doors to bring the outside into the living area. Rustle up an al fresco lunch to enjoy on the decked terrace, looking down over the old railway line and the Nidderdale countryside beyond. On site chic and unique converted wagon. (see other property in this location at the bottom of the listing.)
Overlooking ancient woodland with an abundance of wildlife, you can expect to see the odd deer passing through and there's also a comfortable bench to enjoy your morning coffee on. Glimpses of the old railway signals bring back pleasant memories of its former life.
The property welcomes babes-in-arms and children over the age of 8.
