Fabulously appointed with a host of additional services, this exquisite retreat is the perfect escape for couples. The property boasts stylish and sophisticated interiors, simply stunning views and the delights of a North Yorkshire country village a short stroll away.

This very special holiday home is set in the most wonderful location. Tucked away on the cusp of beautiful Goathland, the gorgeous uninterrupted views of the North York Moors are just the start of it. Designed to be the perfect luxury retreat for couples, everything about the place shouts grown-up glamour from the honesty drinks tray to the luxury welcome hamper. And with a host of extra services, you'll feel seriously pampered from the moment you arrive.

Let's start with the accommodation. Set at the bottom of extensive private grounds, finding this escape is like discovering a magical garden den. Handsome grey wooden cladding invites you into a spacious open-plan living area. The style is reminiscent of a hip Shoreditch hotel, but with a touch of country-chic to remind you that you're actually in North Yorkshire. The lounge boasts a comfortable and stylish sofa with feature woodburner, perfect to curl up together in front of a movie. Snuggly rugs are there too to make sure you're nice and cosy. There's a large wall-mounted Smart LCD TV and Wi-Fi is provided if you want to catch up online.

The compact kitchen has an immaculate contemporary style; glossy grey units combine with chunky wooden worktops and bright accessories. You'll find a dishwasher, a ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave and a Nespresso coffee maker in here along with well-equipped cupboards for the cooks among you. The dining table sits by French doors affording wonderful views of the moors while you eat.

Set just behind the living area is the fabulous bedroom, a warm wooden-clad space with a cosy ski chalet vibe. With its king-size bed, crisp cotton bedding, comfy throws, cushions and soft mood lighting, you just won't want to get out of bed.

The bathroom sits immediately behind the bedroom, another contemporary and stylish room with a real boutique-hotel feel. In here you'll find sleek grey tiles and a large walk-in shower. Complimentary L'Occitane toiletries are provided for you as well as fluffy white robes and slippers.

There is so much to enjoy outside this wonderful holiday home. Guests are welcome to use the paths over the owner's private estate which is home to over 80 species of birds. To the front through the French doors, you'll discover a beautifully landscaped garden complete with a lawned area and mature planting. To the left is a private patio with front row seats of that incredible view. Throw open the doors and settle down to a long and lazy lunch with a bottle of fizz or two. With any luck, you'll spot the local wild Roe deer bounding across the meadow.

There are further pretty gardens to the rear of the property. This area is a real suntrap in the summer months, perfect for stretching out on a rug with a good book or glossy magazine. In the sweet little shed next door there's plenty of lockable storage for bikes, a washing machine, freezer and BBQ. Extra wellies are provided too if you fancy a hike across the fields without ruining your best boots!

The location of this property is just magical. Nestling on the cusp of Goathland (famous as the location for the TV series Heartbeat) it's within easy walking distance of everything this stunning moorland village has to offer. There are a handful of gorgeous little tea rooms, sweet village shops, a post office and several good hotels and pubs offering excellent food and all within a mile walk.

The train station at Goathland is also well known as it was Hogsmeade station in the popular Harry Potter films. Today this beautifully preserved heritage station is part of the North York Moors Railway line from Whitby to Pickering. You can hop on a steam train here throughout the year and enjoy a traditional ride through some truly stunning scenery. If you enjoy the outdoors you are in heaven in this location as the cottage is set at the heart of the North York Moors National Park. There are walking trails in every direction and the countryside here is just breathtaking. See if you can discover one of the several waterfalls in the area including Mallyan Spout, Falling Foss, and Thomason Foss.

Take a tour of the impossibly pretty towns and villages in the area. The quaint village of Beck Hole is just a mile down the road and boasts one of the smallest and best-preserved pubs in Yorkshire. Head down to the river behind the Mallyan Spout Hotel and enjoy a breathtaking walk along the river to this pretty village. Or travel to the high moorland of Castleton Rigg (7 miles) - we guarantee on a clear day it will take your breath away.

A 10-mile drive east takes you to the stunning North Yorkshire coastline, a heady mix of rugged cliff tops, peaceful bays and pretty fishing villages. With long sandy beaches and all the traditional seaside trimmings of yesteryear, this is proper bucket 'n spade territory. That's not to say it's stuck in the past, in fact, the coast's villages and towns combine the traditional with the contemporary effortlessly, with trinket shops and tea rooms sitting alongside upmarket champagne and oyster bars.

This region is best known for the gorgeously gothic town of Whitby, 10 miles from the property. Playing host at one time to Romans, Saxons, Celts and Danes amongst others, the town's rich heritage is immediately obvious. Straddling the river Esk and dominated by the 13th-century ruins of St Hilda's Abbey on the East Cliff, Whitby's crooked cobbled streets and picturesque harbour have been a magnet for artists and tourists alike for centuries.

Although you could happily spend the weekend mooching about the independent shops, bars and cafes along Whitby's bustling medieval streets, it's well worth striking out to sample some of the other coastal villages nearby. Robin Hood's Bay (15 miles) is one of the most popular coastal locations in Yorkshire. The village is a maze of cobbled streets and higgledy-piggledy houses which seem to tumble down towards the sea. Sandsend (12 miles), Staithes (18 miles) and Runswick Bay (18 miles) are also all within easy driving distance, each with their own unique charm.
