In a peaceful village near Bolton Castle with spectacular views of Wensleydale is this idyllic Yorkshire holiday cottage, set in heart of the Yorkshire Dales. With three bedrooms sleeping up to five people comfortably, it's the perfect choice for families or couples looking for a bit of extra room.

This holiday home is set in one of Yorkshire's most popular areas. Just a few miles from Aysgarth Falls and the market town of Leyburn, it offers the best of both worlds; the chance to experience Yorkshire rural life with every modern convenience just a short drive away.

Step inside to find a spacious and bright open-plan living area with wonderful uninterrupted views of Wensleydale from the window. The lounge area has two new large and very comfy sofas to sink into, specially made for those quiet moments! There is an LCD TV & DVD player to keep you entertained and an coal fire to cosy up beside, so grab yourself a glass of something and settle down to the latest box set each evening. There is also internet access with circa 60 MB download/20MB upload available for guests.

The kitchen is just lovely and comes equipped with everything you could want in your holiday home. There's a dishwasher, microwave and washing machine with a further outhouse/boot room housing a handy tumble dryer and additional fridge. Next door is the charming dining room which again boasts stunning floor to ceiling views through the patio door. Seating up to six people very comfortably, it's the place where memories of noisy family breakfasts and candlelit evening meals are made.

All three bedrooms are upstairs. The master bedroom has bags of space and includes a super king-size bed, so you've lots of room to stretch out and enjoy a lazy morning in your PJs. It also enjoys double aspect windows, again with those glorious views. The second bedroom is a charming double with lots of light from a skylight and additional window. The third is a very sweet single room, the perfect choice for younger ones or those who like to have their own space.

The family bathroom is also up here, a stylish and contemporary space with painted woodwork and a granite sink surround. There's a bath for those long hot soaks and a shower overhead. For your convenience, there is another separate cloakroom downstairs with a WC and sink.

Make your way outside this gorgeous Yorkshire cottage to discover the most amazing views of Penn Hill in Wensleydale, right from the comfort of your own patio. Take your morning coffee out here with the sound of birdsong overhead, and in the summer months indulge with a slap up meal alfresco with the glorious landscape of the Yorkshire Dales as your backdrop. A rather wonderful way to end a day's sight-seeing in this beautiful corner of God's Own Country.

The property is located in Preston-Under-Scar in Wensleydale, one of the most appealing parts of the Yorkshire Dales. Surrounded by some of Yorkshire's most-loved attractions, it's an idyllic spot for a holiday cottage.

Beyond the village lies the exquisite landscape of Wensleydale. The views here are simply stunning. The scene is one of lush valleys, mellow pastures and pretty villages, criss-crossed with acres of dry stone walls along its 40-mile length. Wensleydale is also famed for its waterfalls, the most notable being Aysgarth Falls (8 miles) and Hardraw Force (16 miles). Wensleydale also borders the wild and magnificent dales of Swaledale and Arkengarthdale to the North. A great choice for a day trip if you want to get away from it all.

It's something of a walker's paradise in the Yorkshire Dales with several pleasant walks right from your doorstep. There are also lots of pretty villages and stunning natural sights all within close range. Jervaulx Abbey is 10 miles away and the thriving market town of Hawes (home of the now famous Wensleydale cheese) is 16 miles away. The gorgeous villages of West Burton and Askrigg are also within 10 miles, so there is lots of choice for things to do if you want to get out and about.

Good location and views from cottage, which was comfortable and cosy. The village pub at Redmire is worth a visit for those who enjoy good food and real ale. The surrounding area has some very good walks and places to visit which can be reached easily by car or on foot. All-in-all we had a very enjoyable stay.

Wonderful, very comfortable and cosy cottage with amazing views over Wensleydale. The village was incredibly friendly - there's a children's playground and many walks from the door. 5 minute drive/ 1 hour walk to Leyburn, with pubs in nearby villages. Loads to do in the area - would highly recommend!
