Indulge in a buttery fat rascal here before a pleasant stroll along the River Wharfe.

Of course, no trip to this corner of Yorkshire would be complete without a day out in Harrogate. This elegant Victorian spa town is bursting at the seams with antique shops, cafes, independent boutiques and restaurants. And the RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are a must see too, just a 12-mile drive.

For those of you with a love of food, you'll find no shortage of excellent gastropubs and restaurants in the area, including the fantastic Timble Inn. This luxury 5-star inn/restaurant dates back to the 18th century and is set in the beautiful Washburn Valley around 8 miles from the cottage.

This was our second visit to the cottage and it was just as lovely as we remembered. There was everything we could possibly need and plenty to do in the surrounding area. This time we managed to fit in a tour of Whitakers gin and it was well worth a visit.

The setting was amazing with beautiful views. The bedrooms were very spacious and the beds comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and functional although the shower over the bath might be a bit difficult for some people. The welcome package was much appreciated.
