The property is situated on a farm with horses in a beautiful, harmonious rural location, perfect for walkers and cyclists.
This exceptional cottage in the heart of rural North Yorkshire offers couples the opportunity to enjoy a romantic getaway away from the hectic pace of everyday life. Situated on a working farm, you are away from bustling towns and city, with nothing but the sounds of nature to disturb you. However, should you want to venture out for a meal, there is a pub in nearby Great Broughton (1.5 miles). The attractive market town Stokesley (3.5 miles) also has plenty of pubs, cafes and restaurants as well as a range of independent shops, plenty of historic sights, a regular country market and views of the surrounding countryside. This property’s location makes it ideally situated for guests wanting to explore the beauty of the heather-clad North York Moors National Park and/or the breathtaking, dramatic coastline. The Cleveland Way, a 109-mile trail that takes in both, passes within a few miles of the house and is one of many walking routes in the area. After a busy day walking, cycling or sightseeing, you can return to the luxury of this amazing cottage and retire to the hot tub with a glass of bubbly for a spot of stargazing.
As you approach the property and drive through the electric gates, you will appreciate the rural setting with stunning views of the surrounding countryside in all directions. On entering the cottage, you will continue to be impressed as it is finished to an exceptionally high standard with stylish, contemporary furniture and a cool palette with warm wood highlights, which all help to create the feel of a boutique hotel. Another thing that this property has is space – both inside and out. The large kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook up a romantic meal for two, and it even has its own bar area. The curved island in the centre is the perfect place to prepare food, eat breakfast or plan your next adventure. The adjacent lounge is also large and has bi-folding doors that open right up to allow the outside and the inside to merge on sunny days. From the sofa, you can look out on to the paddock to Roseberry Topping hill. There is also a small dining area in the lounge for a more formal alternative to the breakfast bar in the kitchen. Completing the accommodation is the gorgeous super king-size bedroom and very spacious en-suite shower room.
Outside is the enclosed garen, the patio area is an ideal setting for al fresco dining and tucked in the corner is the private hot tub, which adds yet another touch of luxury to the cottage.
(Please note: At times, the farm holds a retreat and yoga sessions. Also, the owner offers natural horsemanship clinics – if this is something you’re interested in and want to bring your own horse, please enquire prior to booking.)
