Nestled in the peaceful village of Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales, this charming terraced house is perfect for couples or small families wanting to spend quality time together in a beautiful setting. Grassington is a typical Yorkshire village with a range of shops and eateries and it even has its own Folk Museum. Situated on the southern edge, it is often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park', so as you'd expect, there's a wealth of walking trails and paths on your doorstep for walkers and cyclists alike. There are also lots of other outdoor activities on offer nearby such as climbing, caving and canoeing. The Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies to the east, which has yet more stunning moorland, lush green hills, and quaint villages to explore.

Recently refurbished, contemporary touches blend seamlessly with original features to create a home full of character and charm. Cool greys and whites accentuate the wooden tones which add a traditional feel to this modern home.

As you ascend the four steps and open the front door, you will find yourself in the cosy lounge. The high ceiling creates the feeling of light and space, whilst the wood burner as its focal point creates a snug atmosphere which is perfect for snuggling up of an evening. From the lounge, head through the small hall and find yourself in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner complete with range cooker set into an original fireplace. It is well-equipped and the stable door offers access to the courtyard as well as allowing fresh air and light in. In addition, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in what was once the pantry.

Heading up the steep, cottage-style stairs, you will come to the two immaculate bedrooms. The king-size master has an original feature fireplace adding charm and a wonderful en-suite shower room. The double is spacious and looks out across neighbouring gardens. Both rooms have Smart TVs. Completing the accommodation is the contemporary bathroom with free-standing bath.

Outside, there is a well-maintained courtyard garden with furniture for a spot of al fresco dining or a morning coffee. There is a shed for secure bike storage and stone steps lead up to the rear gate. Roadside parking is available.

From the moment we arrived, we loved this accommodation. Kitchen had everything we needed, great beds and shower, comfortable furniture and just a feeling of being a well-loved and cared for property. It felt homely and had all the practical things you need. Instructions were clear. Grassington is a beautiful place. We had two cars and had no problRead moreem parking but it wasnt school holidays or a particularly busy time of year. The local buses worked well for both directions of start of Dales Way walk. Would be very happy to return either to walk or just to enjoy Grassington. Hide

We had a lovely stay at Ripley's Rest - a brilliant location 5 minutes walk to the village, with stunning walks from the doorstep, including the Dales Way. Kitchen was excellently equipped. And parking was very easy all week just round the corner from the cottage. Thank you hosts for making it so welcoming.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. Parking was a bit tricky but managed to park on the road just up from the cottage all week. Getting in and out of the village is really tricky as the main road through the village is very narrow and can only fit one car through at a time - it really needs to be a one way system. We got stuck one day and it putRead more us off going out for a drive for the rest of the week. But the local area is stunning and plenty of walking opportunities. Hide

Superb location. Fantastic walks starting from the doorstep + the village centre in less than 5 mins walk. Good pubs in Grassington. Nice comfortable house. Just good to know: No toilets on the groundfloor and the stairs are quite steep. It was no problem for us but it may not be ideal for the lesser mobile person.
