Luxury cosy cottage in the village of Grassington, with authentic stone buildings, quirky shops and stunning views. Enjoy the river, waterfalls and outdoor pursuits, there is something for everyone.

Nestled in the peaceful village of Grassington in the Yorkshire Dales, this charming terraced house is perfect for couples or small families wanting to spend quality time together in a beautiful setting. Grassington is a typical Yorkshire village with a range of shops and eateries and it even has its own Folk Museum. Situated on the southern edge, it is often referred to as the ‘Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales National Park', so as you'd expect, there's a wealth of walking trails and paths on your doorstep for walkers and cyclists alike. There are also lots of other outdoor activities on offer nearby such as climbing, caving and canoeing. The Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies to the east, which has yet more stunning moorland, lush green hills, and quaint villages to explore.

Recently refurbished, contemporary touches blend seamlessly with original features to create a home full of character and charm. Cool greys and whites accentuate the wooden tones which add a traditional feel to this modern home.

As you ascend the four steps and open the front door, you will find yourself in the cosy lounge. The high ceiling creates the feeling of light and space, whilst the wood burner as its focal point creates a snug atmosphere which is perfect for snuggling up of an evening. From the lounge, head through the small hall and find yourself in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner complete with range cooker set into an original fireplace. It is well-equipped and the stable door offers access to the courtyard as well as allowing fresh air and light in. In addition, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer located in what was once the pantry.

Heading up the steep, cottage-style stairs, you will come to the two immaculate bedrooms. The king-size master has an original feature fireplace adding charm and a wonderful en-suite shower room. The double is spacious and looks out across neighbouring gardens. Both rooms have Smart TVs. Completing the accommodation is the contemporary bathroom with free-standing bath.

Outside, there is a well-maintained courtyard garden with furniture for a spot of al fresco dining or a morning coffee. There is a shed for secure bike storage and stone steps lead up to the rear gate. Roadside parking is available.

Pateley Bridge (11 miles) is a charming little market town very typical of this area of Yorkshire. The main street is peppered with cafes, restaurants, local stores, quality butchers and a wine shop, everything you need to stock up for your stay. You'll also find the self-proclaimed 'Oldest Sweet Shop in England' here dating back to the early 1800s.

Pateley Bridge sits at the heart of the breathtaking Nidderdale landscape, itself an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

There are plenty of local attractions and stunning natural sights within easy driving distance including the fabulous Brimham Rocks (15 miles) and the famous Three Peaks. Or check out the cathedral town of Ripon which is also well worth a visit and is just 22.5 miles away, with its regal castle overlooking the town below. The RHS garden at Harlow Carr (24 miles) is a great place to visit for those that love flowers and plants.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK and is only 23.5 miles away. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly. And the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag, there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Betty's Tearooms is a must and if you have time we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. If you're travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere.

We would also highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (19 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 10 miles away.

Time a visit with the Great Yorkshire Show – it is a massive platform for farmers and local craft-makers to showcase their way of life and their produce on a grand scale. Harrogate is best known for its convention centres and it''s an events hub too, so it''s worth seeing what is on their programme.

We had a very wet week staying here but managed to get out and about. It was lovely to come back and light the log burner. The cottage was very comfortable, it had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The bed was comfortable and there was as excellent shower. It is in a beautiful village with great pubs and lots of cafes.

We have stayed in many cottages in the last few years but this must be one of the best. Not for one special thing but the whole experience clean, warm, comfortable, well equipped, located close to pubs and restaurants all worthy of a visit. I recommend you give it a go .It sits in the Yorkshire Dales win win.
