Situated at the southern end of Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this idyllic lodge is the perfect property for friends and families who love the great outdoors. This rural retreat allows you to immerse yourselves in the tranquillity and soak up the far-reaching views, whilst still being close to the spa town of Harrogate. Further afield, the Yorkshire Dales National Park offers yet more natural wonders, quaint towns/villages and impressive historical sites for you to discover. Whether you’re exploring on foot or by bike, there are routes and trails for everyone, whatever your ability. The area is also teeming with flora and fauna, so be sure to pack your binoculars and camera.
Nestled in a secluded position in the Nidderdale hills, this lodge (built in 2020) combines luxury with comfort. On the ground floor, a spacious open-plan kitchen/lounge/diner allows you all to spend quality time together. Whilst the wood burner adds a sense of cosiness, the floor to ceiling windows allow you to appreciate the panoramic views. The well-equipped kitchen has all the mod-cons you’ll need to cook up some treats before settling down for a sociable meal at the dining table in front of the wood burner.
Two of the bedrooms are also on the ground floor. Firstly, there is a king-size room where light floods in through the two windows. Secondly, there is a lovely twin room. Both bedrooms share the shower room with walk-in shower and WC.
Up the bespoke wooden staircase, there is an impressive master super king-size bedroom. It has its own private balcony, which is a lovely spot to read a book, enjoy the views or watch for wildlife. Across the landing, the delightful bathroom has a luxurious free-standing bath and a separate walk-in shower.
Leading out from the open-plan living area is an impressive terrace with unbridled views of the surrounding countryside- the ideal place for morning coffee or evening drinks. There is also a hot tub to sink into as the sun goes down and blankets to snuggle up in to keep warm. Beyond the terrace, guests are welcome to explore the grounds, where sheep and cows graze freely and there is a stream for paddling in and a pack horse bridge. Guests are advised to supervise children at all times due to the pond. There is off-road parking for up to three cars.
