Situated near the quiet, coastal town of Filey on the Yorkshire coast, this charming apartment is a lovely retreat for couples or small families. It’s the ideal place to relax, as the golden sands of Filey Bay’s vast beach are only a short stroll away. For those looking for a little more adventure, walkers can appreciate the unbridled sea views from the wild and rugged Yorkshire coast path or water sport enthusiasts can take to the water in a canoe. Flamborough Headland Heritage Coast is located to the south and is home to a nature reserve, which makes it popular with wildlife enthusiasts and birdwatchers. It also has two historic lighthouses, which are steeped in interest, so historians will be at home here too. Venturing further afield, there is more to be discovered in Scarborough and Bridlington (both within 10 miles). Filey itself (a 3-mile drive and a shorter walk) has quirky independent shops, a range of eateries and a museum within its Edwardian architecture. As one of the quieter towns on the Yorkshire coast, it’s a great place to unwind away from the crowds. For a family day out, Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park or Playdale Farm Park are both within 8 miles.
This modern apartment is bright and airy throughout, with white walls and décor create stylish contrasts with the occasional splash of colour here and there. It is a spacious property, allowing you to relax in comfort.
After parking up and ascending the staircase, you will find yourself in the bright kitchen/diner which has all the mod-cons you’ll need to cook up some meals and treats. There is also ample seating around the dining table and well-chosen wall décor adds character and reflects the coastal setting. Next door, there is a spacious lounge with plenty of light flooding in through the two windows. Comfy sofas provide the perfect place to snuggle up of an evening and one is a sofa bed suitable for an extra stowaway. The double bedroom also leads off the kitchen/diner and its nautical scheme is well-suited to the location.
