Situated on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park, this wonderful Scandinavian-style lodge offers families and friends a quirky, yet stylish, setting for a special holiday or reunion. It occupies a peaceful rural setting amongst the Yorkshire countryside, making it the ideal place to switch off, unwind and enjoy quality time with loved ones. However, as part of a complex, there are facilities on site, including a spa for those who want to pamper themselves. The charming village of Great Ayton is also a mile away with its shops and eateries. Whether you or not you are keen walkers or cyclists, there is a wealth of routes and trails on your doorstep, with something for all abilities. The property has lots of sociable areas for everyone to get together, but it also has enough space for guests to spread out and enjoy some quiet time. After a busy day exploring the local market towns or walking in the heather-clad hills, head back home, slip on your fluffy robes and sink into your private hot tub for a spot of star gazing.
This luxury lodge is a very special property; the natural textures and colours of wood are the stars of the show, but unique design features and attention to detail make this a truly wonderful place to stay. As you ascend the steps towards the front of the property, you will appreciate the quality of the exterior which hints at what’s inside. After leaving your muddy shoes under the porch at the front, you will enter into the open-plan living area, where contemporary design blends effortlessly with traditional furniture to create a homely ambience. A partial wall separates this room from the kitchen, which is well-equipped with everything you’ll need to cook up some special meals. Completing the ground floor is a utility room and a shower room.
Upstairs, the exquisite bedrooms are arranged over two floors. On the first floor, you can access two delightful king-size bedrooms which both open on to a shared veranda, complete with hammock. A luxurious, contemporary shower room completes this floor. The second floor is well-suited to families, with twin beds in the landing area and a further double room, but there is restricted height in places due to the slanted ceilings.
A spacious veranda wraps around the property but opens up at one end to create a delightful terrace with plenty of seating for al fresco dining. It is also home to the hot tub where you can soak up the tranquillity and enjoy the views. Your four-legged friends are also catered for with their own, snug ‘Doghouse’. Free parking is available in the car park, subject to availability.
