An outstanding wooden lodge ideal for a special break with friends and family, located in a peaceful oasis within easy reach of all local attractions and the rugged Yorkshire coastline.

Set in a complex of four exclusive properties, this five-star lodge with its own luxury hot tub is surrounded by the sounds of nature and wildlife. Framed with a leafy canopy and ample privacy, the property also enjoys its own terrace and garden area, while there’s a welcoming bistro and a luxury day spa on-site for that added indulgent holiday treat. Sleeping four guests, it’s the ideal holiday getaway for families or friends who want to explore North Yorkshire. The charming village of Great Ayton is just a mile away with a range of pubs and shops, including a popular ice-cream shop and a tempting pie shop. And it wouldn’t be Yorkshire without fish and chips; you’ll easily find your favourite place to tuck in and enjoy the surrounding views of Yorkshire. Enjoy morning strolls along local trails or make plans for a full day’s hike in the North York Moors National Park (2 miles). Join the long-distance Cleveland Way (5.5 miles), and explore the Cleveland Hills (10 miles), an area steeped in history just waiting to be explored – the 100-mile national trail runs from the pretty market town of Helmsley through the moors and along the Yorkshire coast to Filey. And foodies rejoice; this region is abundant with the finest pub food, inspiring restaurants, farmers’ markets, artisan food shops and delis.

Step up to the decked terrace of your stylish lodge and head inside where a bright and spacious open-plan, ground-floor space – surrounded by timber floors, walls, and ceiling – echoes the best features of Scandi interior design. Decorated in contemporary rustic style with warm earthy tones, and colourful furnishings which complement the timber walls, it’s an easy space in which to unwind. The living area leads seamlessly through to the dining area and on to the kitchen where you’ll find a welcome pack and everything you need to cook up a storm for hungry hikers, including an electric oven and gas hob, a fridge/freezer, and a microwave. There’s also the convenience of a dishwasher so nobody needs to wash up. Gather around the dining table which seats four, and tuck into delicious feasts featuring organic produce from local markets, before sinking into the cosiest of seating in the living area for family games and film nights on the Smart TV. When night falls, venture upstairs towards the prettiest of bedrooms, a king-size bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with fluffy robes and beautiful linens ensuring the sweetest of slumbers.

On sunny mornings, step outside to enjoy breakfast on your private terrace and enjoy mindful moments listening to birdsong and the gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze. Catch up with a good book and enjoy a lazy afternoon in the front garden on stylish sun loungers. After a hilly hike, enjoy the finest comfort of your holiday lodge with a dip in the warm bubbly hot tub on the covered decked terrace where you’ll soon rejuvenate on your relaxing holiday in North Yorkshire.

The lodge was great with the hot tub, definitely the icing on the cake. Being near to The coast (approx 35mins) to both saltburn-on-sea and Whitby was brilliant (we love the latter one) . We took a walk into the village that takes about 25 mins, half of it is roadside as there are no paths. We had a lovely meal at the Royal Oak but didnt get chanceRead more to try he other pubs or eateries in the village. The village is plenty of bars, restaurants, WiFi issue was sorted as promptly Hide
