Set in the heart of Skipton with lots of fun things to find and discover - making an ideal retreat for a small family or couple.
This gorgeous stone-built cottage is located in the centre of Skipton, just metres away from the historic market and range of pubs, restaurants and shops. With the canal at the bottom of the road, you can experience a peaceful and relaxing holiday but still get out and fill your days with exciting things to do. Known as the Gateway to the Dales, you’ll find lots of easy rambles or more challenging fell walks within 9 miles of the front door. Sleeping three across two inviting bedrooms, this property is bursting with character and offers a welcoming home-from-home for the duration of your stay.
Step through the front door and you’re greeted by a fabulously bright and airy open-plan living space, where soothing neutral tones and exposed wooden beams create a cosy atmosphere among a blend of contemporary and farmhouse-style furnishings. Gaze out of the wooden window at the front of the property, framed by sweet home furnishings and is a wonderful little sunspot. Curl up on the comfortable sofas in the lounge area in front of the TV after a long day of exploration, admiring the lovely stone ornamental fireplace. Culinary guests will love cooking up a storm in the large kitchen, where pretty wooden cabinets and stylish dark worktops match perfectly with a quaint dining table that’s ideal for three. Whether you’re up for cooking a delicious meal from scratch on the electric oven and gas hob or you need a quick bite to heat up in the microwave, you’ll find everything you need in here. There’s also a washer/dryer in the kitchen so there’s no need to worry if you get a bit muddy out on walks.
Head up the stairs in the middle of the open-plan living area to the tranquil bedrooms. Calming pastel tones in the double bedroom and quality bedding beckon you to slip between the sheets for a great night’s sleep; wake up gently in the morning and watch some TV before getting ready for the day. The cosy single room also has a TV with a charming wooden beam over the window. Splashes of colour in the furnishings make this room a pleasure to wake up in with plenty of natural light, but the blinds will ensure that your sleep isn’t disturbed.
Take an invigorating shower in the shower room where grey and white tones, bright lighting and mirrors create a serene, spa-like atmosphere and is great for waking yourself up in the morning as well as winding down in the evening.
There’s no outside space with the property, but there’s an allocated parking space for one car – just remember to display the permit card when you’re using it. If you’ve brought your four-legged pal with you, go for walkies along the canal and up to Skipton Castle or Aireville Park (both 0.5 miles).
