Excellent accommodation for a couple, set in 200 acres of private grounds. Conveniently close to the Yorkshire coastline and the abundance of surrounding Wolds walking countryside.

This wonderful property offers couples the best of coast and country, as it’s situated within the Yorkshire Wolds and close to the rugged Yorkshire coastline. With so much stunning scenery on your doorstep, you won’t need to travel far for a bracing coastal walk or a stroll through the undulating hills. Keen walkers or cyclists, however, can venture further afield to the North York Moors National Park or the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for yet more gorgeous landscapes and breathtaking views. Set amongst 200 acres on the owner’s working farm, this home occupies a rural location on the outskirts of the charming village of Wold Newton, so you’ll be able to immerse yourselves in the tranquillity of the countryside. Should you want to pop out for a bite to eat, the village has a lovely pub sitting on the edge of the village green overlooking the pond. You could also head to nearby Hunmanby (6 miles) which has a range of shops and eateries.

 

This well-appointed barn conversion is modern throughout with light walls and cool tones making it feel bright and airy, whilst the wooden furniture and soft furnishings are in keeping with its country-cottage feel.

 

After going up the few steps to the front door, head upstairs to the open-plan living area. This bright and airy space is a sociable area where you can enjoy quality time together. There is a small kitchen where you can prepare hearty breakfasts or evening meals to be enjoyed around the dining table and a sofa and TV for relaxing. This room is unique in that there is a king-size bed tucked around the corner. There is a contemporary bathroom with bath and shower.

 

Outside, guests are welcome to wander around the acres of shared communal gardens. There is also a small seating area to the front of the property, where you can enjoy a morning coffee in the sunshine. Or perhaps a BBQ (available on request) in the evening sun is more your thing? There is ample off-road parking available.

This a really lovely place to stay. The apartment was well furnished very clean and well equipped although no freezer or dishwasher. The situation is ideal for touring east Yorkshire and the north York moors area The coast is a short drive away.
