A spacious barn conversion close to Filey with original features, private hot tub and large, shared grounds. Perfect for families wanting a Yorkshire retreat!

Situated within the stunning Yorkshire Wolds and close to the rugged Yorkshire coastline, this gorgeous property offers families the best of coast and country. With so much beautiful scenery on your doorstep, you won’t need to travel far for a refreshing coastal walk or an amble through the rolling hills. If you’re keen walkers or cyclists, you can always venture further afield to the North York Moors National Park or the Howardian Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty for yet more breathtaking landscapes and panoramic views. Set amongst 200 acres on the owner’s working farm, this property is surrounded by open countryside, so you’ll be able to immerse yourselves in the rural tranquillity. Situated on the outskirts of the charming village of Wold Newton, should you want to pop out for a bite to eat, you can wander down to the lovely pub that overlooks the village green and pond. You could also head to nearby Hunmanby (6 miles) which has a range of shops and eateries. After a busy day exploring, you can head back for a soak in your hot tub and a spot of stargazing.

On arrival, you’ll notice the well-manicured gardens to the front of property, which demonstrates the owner’s close attention to detail, which thankfully continues inside. This immaculately-presented barn conversion is stylish and modern, whilst still maintaining its country-cottage feel. It feels bright and airy throughout and warm woods and soft tones make it feel inviting and comfortable.

On the ground floor, you’ll find the L-shaped open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which is spacious, yet sociable. An attractive exposed beam hints at the building’s heritage. The lounge is comfortable with enough seating for everyone to curl up in front of the roaring wood burner of an evening. Modern and well-equipped, the kitchen has plenty of space to prepare a family meal for everyone to enjoy together around the dining table. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. The king-size room is spacious and minimally decorated to create a relaxing space. It has an en-suite shower room. The twin room has high vaulted ceilings that add to the sense of space and has an en-suite bathroom.

Outside, there is a large courtyard with stylish garden furniture and your own private hot tub. Enclosed by a high brick wall, you are guaranteed privacy as you and your family enjoy a dip. There is also a BBQ available on request if you want to dine alfresco. Guests are welcome to wander around the acres of shared communal gardens and discover the different seating areas. We enjoyed our stay Maze Cottage and would definitely consider returning to the cottage, as it is ideally located for the Yorkshire coast. At Easter it was very warm and comfortable cottage and the hot tub was excellent. We were impressed and the grounds were great too.

Very nice and quiet area. Lovely cottage, spacious un beautiful. Had a nice and relaxing mini holiday. Hot tub area is secluded, hence very enjoyable and you do not have to worry about someone seeing you, which in my opinion is a big plus.

We had a lovely stay at the Granary, with friends for New Year, the cottage was cosy, warm and very comfortable. The Prosecco and bread baking in the bread-maker were lovely touches. The hot tub was amazing after a number of long and very muddy walks. Would highly recommend a stay here

A lovely cottage in a pretty setting very quiet and peaceful, however it is 20-30 minutes from a supermarket and restaurants, with the exception of the Anvil this you must visit for a drink and food, delicious food and plentiful at a good price, all staff were the friendliest we had ever met.
