A great base for keen walkers and adventure lovers within this apartment in the attractive village of Great Ayton.

Situated in the gorgeous, bustling village of Great Ayton on the banks of the River Leven, this unique property offers friends and families a great location on the northern edge of the North York Moors National Park. This attractive apartment is an ideal base from which to admire the stunning scenery, immerse yourselves in the tranquillity and enjoy a wealth of activities. There is something for everyone in this area, such as walking, cycling, fishing, photography, and history. Iconic hill Roseberry Topping overlooks the village and a hike to the top is rewarded with beautiful views of the area’s natural beauty. At the end of a busy day exploring, you can head out for a bite to eat and a pint of ale in one of the village pubs, or perhaps you’d prefer to settle down on the sofa with a bottle of wine and a good film.

After ascending the staircase and entering the apartment, you’ll appreciate the fresh and contemporary décor which adds a sense of light and space. From the hallway, head into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. After using the well-equipped kitchen to prepare a delicious meal or snack, sit at the dining table in front of the large window and enjoy the views of the surrounding area. When you’re ready to relax, snuggle up with your loved ones on the sofa. When it's time for bed, choose between a king-size bedroom (zip and link) which can be made up as 2ft6"" twin on request or super-king (zip and link) which can also be a twin on request. A shower room completes the accommodation.

Lovely Apartment in a great Location. Great Ayton has all you need for a great holiday, with a few decent pubs, coffee shops, restaurants/take aways and a supermarket. Butterfly Cottage is within easy walking distance of all the these amenities. Lovely modern, clean, comfortable apartment in a village situation. Well equipped, with a good sized TV, and a big bay window from which to watch the passing walkers and horse riders. 3 minutes walk round the corner to the village green for the Post office, pub, Co-op and tasty pie shop. A lovely serene apartment in a great setting.

Great Ayton is a delightful place to stay and the cottage is centrally located so handy for all village facilities. Well equipped cottage which was perfect for a long weekend.

We had a wonderful week in this well equipped, really nicely furnished, comfortable and super clean cottage in the delightful village of Great Ayton. We hadnt expected such a range of little shops, pubs and coffee shops, and little cafs, not to mention a very useful Co-Op that sold everything, in such a pretty place. Steep stairs but otherwise perfect. Historic house which has been beautifully refurbished with view of majestic trees in a peaceful Quaker graveyard. Easy walk to shops and pub.

We had a great week at Butterfly Cottage. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean & extremely comfortable. We felt very much at home. Parking was no problem on the street outside. The cottage is a few minutes' walk from local amenitie such as the Co-Op & local pub, so there is no need to get into the car every day. Everything about this apartment is perfect, although if you have trouble climbing stairs it could be a problem as the living area is upstairs. That said that apartment itself is spotless the beds are soooooo comfortable a good night's sleep is guaranteed. Spotless apartment, well placed on a faiely quiet road in the village. It was lovely to watch the walkers and occasional horse rider pass by. Parking outside was never a problem. Village green and small shops round the corner which is very convenient. Pie shop is amazing! Apartment spotless, modern and comfortable. Suggest having lighter duvets in Read moresummer months. Lovely well-appointed cottage situated in an ideal location. Very comfortable and clean. Lots of helpful information on local area. The village is beautiful and the cottage is a 2 minute walk from the High Street and green. Would recommend and hope to return soon.

Excellent property in the heart of the delightful village of Great Ayton. Pubs, shops, restaurants and lovely walks straight from the door. Highly recommended.
