The towns and villages of this stunning AONB offer up a great mix of charm and serenity. Pateley Bridge itself has an eclectic mix of shops for you to browse such as the oldest sweet shop in England. Brimham Rocks (4 miles) are an amazing collection of natural rock formations. Part of a National Trust owned area, there are plenty of walking, and photo, opportunities. Ripon is 11.5 miles and there’s a great day out at the Grade-II listed Ripon Spa Baths. After a swim, take a stroll around the neighbouring Spa Gardens. Explore the beautiful park and spot wildlife on the two trails that lead around here. Hop in the cars or take a taxi and visit spa town, Harrogate (14 miles). Explore the importance of natural springs in the Yorkshire Dales at the Royal Pump Room Museum or enjoy one of the town’s many places to dine and drink.

Well equipped and extremely comfortable holiday cottage. Location great with walks from the doorstep. Pateley Bridge is a lovely little town with interesting independent shops. We loved staying at Two Hoots!

Really lovely spacious house, very well equipped, excellent position, 5 minutes walk from the excellent shops and eaterys of Pately Bridge. Ample car parking and secure garden, soothing sounds of the Nidd and trees all around.

What a lovely cottage. We stayed for a short break but I could easily have stayed longer. The cottage appears to be a relatively new build and is spacious, light and finished to a high standard. It is also very well equipped. Although modern I though it was full of character. Bedrooms are generous in size with comfy beds. Be first to check in and gRead morerab the master suite. Ample parking available but beware of sap from the trees. You may want to cover your windscreen. Highly recommended. Hide

A lovely property in a great location. Its very quiet apart from the flow of the river and birdsong, yet its only 5 minutes walk into town. The house is very spacious, immaculate and extremely well equipped. The owner was very helpful too. Highly recommended.

Two Hoots is a fabulous place, one of the best we've stayed at. It's in a lovely peaceful setting in Pateley Bridge, but also within walking distance to the shops, playground,pubs & eating places. A great property in a wonderful location. Very comfortable and clean with all amenities provided and the garden is secure, so we and our two dogs were very happy. Its only a flat five minute walk to an array of shops and restaurants and the walk along the Nidd each morning was delightful. The owls hooting in the evening was the icing on the cake. Two hoots was perfect for our stay in the dales with two dogs, with a secure garden and an outside tap for washing off mucky boots and dogs. Lovely property fully equipped to excellent standard. Perfect setting with plenty to see and do on the doorstep and no need to take the car out. Mornings and evenings are full of birdsong. Would love to return someday.

Clean and wet well equipped holiday home. All mod cons and nice touches like a welcome basket including tea, milk and biscuits. Very welcome after a long drive. Comfortable beds , a very secure garden and well placed for a 5 min walk to the local shops. The convenience store is open every day until 9pm, even on a Sunday.

The house is set in a nice area and has all the facilities you would need for a good holiday, shops, pubs and good walks all from the front door. Be aware that the walk way along the river runs along side the back of the property. Good place to stay when exploring the Yorkshire dales.

Cant recommended Two Hoots highly enough. A beautiful house, with the highest quality furnishings and kitted out with everything you need. Dogs loved the secure garden and everything was just a short walk away into town. Cant wait to go back!
