Take a lovely escape to the great outdoors, situated on the owner's working farm in rural Yorkshire, offering it’s guests private picturesque views across fields and farmland. An ideal base for walkers and cyclist or just to spend time with loved ones.

Nestled on the cusp of the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within easy reach of the glorious rolling Yorkshire Dales, this gorgeous farmhouse is a great base for your group of six guests. The working farm setting offers a quintessential take on your special staycation, providing miles upon miles of scenic walks and exciting trails to discover. Return red-cheeked and hungry for your evening meal, choosing between cooking in the comfort of your property, or venturing the short stroll into the village for a hearty meal in the welcoming pub.

Step inside via the entrance hall, soaking up the laid-back decor and glimpses of classic architecture such as exposed stone and painted beams. Each room has been carefully styled with a combination of vintage and contemporary furnishings and accessories. A wood burner flickers in the stone fireplace and natural light pours in through the windows.

Savour the opportunity to linger over meals in the pretty dining room. The country-cottage kitchen has chic cabinetry and an electric Range cooker for a classic twist, providing foodies with everything they need to get cooking. Children can play safely outside whilst you supervise from the window. An original fireplace with Victorian-style tiling gives the essence of olde-world charm as you whip up breakfast, and there is direct access to the dining room when it is time to dish up.

In terms of washing facilities, you’ll be spoilt for choice as there is a lovely shower room on the ground floor and a first-floor bathroom with a large bath. One of the double bedrooms upstairs features its own en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, a bonus treat after a busy day exploring the countryside. Completing the first floor are two further bedrooms, one double and one twin. Back downstairs, the useful utility room has storage space for muddy boots and a washing machine and tumble dryer for all your laundry needs.

Outside the garden is a delight for children and their four-legged friends to run and play on the lawn whilst grown-ups share a drink on the patio with BBQ. Protected against the elements and tucked beneath an oak-framed shelter is the hot tub, a luxurious extra touch for unwinding after busy days out. Parking is available on the gravelled courtyard, but you can also leave your cars outside the front for ease of loading and unloading after your daily trips.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isnt your bag, there are a host of other reasons to shop in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with fine restaurants and cafes.

A visit to Bettys Tearooms is a must and if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. If youre travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are also a fantastic option for families.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors so it makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breathtaking Nidderdale is 6.5 miles north west, and you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. Take a day trip to Ilkley (23.5 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 20 miles away.

Beautiful house very well equipped & gardens amazing. We certainly enjoyed our stay seeing the cows in the fields next to garden along with the birds & Hares. Previous reviews said about flies, yes there were lots but owners have fitted devices indoors which certainly helped. Unfortunately flies live outside & being near a farm are to be expected.

This cottage is spacious, beautifully furnished and well equipped with beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub, and appreciated the fact that it was under cover as we didnt have great weather. The cottage was fabulous for a week away in Yorkshire. Location is close enough to anything you need but far enough away to feel like you are away from everything. We had a wonderful stay at Moorfield House. The house is beautiful, spotlessly clean and had everything we could have wanted. The garden is stunning with views of the countryside. A drink in the hot tub whatever the weather was a perfect way to end the day. We would love to return for another stay in the future.
