Forming part of a historic building that once served as the town mill, your stylish holiday accommodation exudes comfort and charm in equal measure and is perfect for a special staycation for two. The riverside setting will appeal to those who appreciate gentle strolls as well as adrenaline seekers, who will no doubt be interested in the endless opportunities to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Plan a stay characterised by bracing walks throughout the windswept wilderness and gentle slopes of the Dales followed by delicious meals in one of the many exclusive eateries available in nearby Pateley Bridge, 1.5 miles away.

The cobbled courtyard and traditional exterior reveal a ground-floor retreat that’s surprisingly contemporary inside despite original features such as timber beams, high ceilings and wooden flooring. Bright lighting and fresh colours blend with the elegant furniture, so even watching your favourite TV shows will feel like a luxury when perched on the comfy sofa. Put your feet up and relax into the corner armchair whilst music plays on the Bluetooth speaker.

To one end of the room is the kitchenette where you can get cooking for two and delve into your welcome pack, creating dishes best enjoyed at the bistro-style table over a bottle of wine. The units have been cleverly designed to maximise the use of space and conceal the necessities including a fridge/freezer, slim dishwasher, an electric oven, induction hob and microwave. Coffee enthusiasts will relish their first coffee of the day made using the Lavazza coffee machine.

There’s a walk-in shower in the shower room while further along the hallway is your bijou-style bedroom with its crisply dressed king-size bed, a welcome sight when you are weary from a day of exploring.

Outside there is an enclosed patio with a table and seating, this is accessed via the bedroom.

Allocated parking for one car is available.

Glasshouses is a chocolate-box village set on the banks of the River Nidd with the stunning Yorkshire Dales as its backdrop. A haven for walking, cycling and horse riding, you’ll discover a wealth of exciting trails from the comfort of your doorstep including the renowned Nidderdale Way and Six Dales Trail.

Pateley Bridge itself is a charming little market town 1.5 miles along the river and is a very typical example of this area of Yorkshire’s most popular towns. The main street is peppered with cafes, restaurants, local stores, quality butchers and a wine shop, everything you need to stock up for your stay. Youll also find the self-proclaimed Oldest Sweet Shop in England here dating back to the early 1800s.

Pateley Bridge sits at the heart of the breathtaking Nidderdale landscape, itself an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Adrenaline junkies can satisfy their sense of adventure with water sports, caving and fell running, all of which are not for the faint-hearted!

There are plenty of local attractions and stunning natural sights within easy driving distance including the fabulous Brimham Rocks (3 miles) and the famous Three Peaks. Or check out the cathedral town of Ripon which is also well worth a visit and 10.5 miles away, with its regal castle overlooking the town below. The RHS garden at Harlow Carr (14.5 miles) is a great place to visit for those that love the outdoors.

Take a spa day at the Turkish Baths in the cosmopolitan town of Harrogate, 13 miles. Time a visit with the Great Yorkshire Show – it is a massive platform for farmers and local craft-makers to showcase their way of life and their produce on a grand scale. Harrogate is best known for its convention centre, so it’s worth seeing what is on their programme.
