Situated on the owners' working farm, this delightful barn conversion is just 1 mile from the centre of Hornsea, making it the perfect base for a romantic getaway.

Steal away to this gorgeous, stone barn, 1 mile from Hornsea, and enjoy the very best of the Yorkshire coast. Nestled on a working farm where the owners also live, but enjoying its privacy, the one-bedroom retreat sleeps just two guests, making it the perfect base for a romantic getaway.

Also welcoming one canine companion, this inviting holiday home could be perfect for anyone seeking to walk the England Coast Path, perhaps attempting the 18-mile stretch from Hornsea to Withernsea. Indeed, the area is a veritable paradise for those who enjoy the outdoors, with many walks and cycle trails straight from the doorstep.

The old Victorian resort of Hornsea itself offers long sandy beaches and an attractive promenade with well-kept gardens. Hornsea Freeport is popular for shopping and Bempton Cliffs RSPB reserve, with one of the largest mainland puffin populations in Britain, is just 18 miles away. Also spend a day visiting the nearby market town of Beverley, 14 miles from the barn.

Open the door to your single-storey Yorkshire bolthole, one of two holiday homes on the site, and step inside to find an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, immaculately finished and with a comfortable, homely feel. Relax on the sofa together after long days out exploring, perhaps in front of a good movie on the Smart TV. Wander over to the kitchen area to rustle up a romantic meal with the tasty produce you have shopped for and find it well-equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

Dine at the breakfast bar with your loved one and unwind with a glass of wine after a day of exploring. When day turns to night, head through to the colourful double bedroom to lay your head on your pillow. Wake up and indulge in a hot shower in the stylish shower room.

Spend sunny mornings out in your private courtyard garden. Light the BBQ here on balmy evenings and enjoy a cocktail as the sun goes down. Find you have off-road parking for one car and secure cycle storage.

Arrange a visit to the beautiful market town of Beverley. One of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets, its stunning, 13th-century minster often regarded as one of Europe’s finest Gothic churches. Take a look at the town’s medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional, friendly Yorkshire pubs where time has stood still for decades.

Also get to know the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds while you are in this corner of the world: this is a range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs at Flamborough Head, 21.5 miles from the cottage. The gentle nature of the countryside here makes it an excellent location for walking and cycling.

Visit the famous city of Hull, 16 miles away, while you are on holiday and take the children to while away a few hours at The Deep. This is one of the largest aquariums in the UK, housing over 3,000 marine creatures, including penguins and sharks.

Nice cottage , though small . Well thought out and spotlessly clean and modern . Does need more comfortable seating but apart from that we liked the cottage very much . We did thoroughly aporeciate the welcome pack which was a very kind thought and the outdoor seating area was lovely . .

Id like to give 10 stars for this accomodation. It was delightful, and superb value for money. We could not have booked a nicer place for the price. Dog walking is superb in the area, with easy access to a metalled path where the Pennine Way begins, look for Marlborough Road and its at the end of that. We were a little disappointed in the size. It was very clean and the use of space had been carefully thought out. However we had a large dog and there was no space for him to lie down. We found the two seater sofa very uncomfortable for watching the television as the television was high on the wall and we were getting back ache and neck ache. The diRead morening area was a couple of high stools at the end of a work surface. The road outside is a very fast road and didnt feel that safe walking. Hide

This cottage is a lot smaller than expected and on a busy road, it was very clean and had lots of cupboard space but a very small fridge, so not much space to store fresh food and wine. Its not far to Hornsea town centre so you could eat out so that could be an option
