Lively Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The gorgeous Yorkshire town effortlessly combines traditional elegance with contemporary style.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, it has antiques dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the elegant Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture does not appeal to you, there are a host of other reasons to enjoy shopping in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Bettys Tearooms is a must and, if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Harrogate is also known for its outdoor space and abundance of parkland and greenery. The RHS Gardens Harlow Carr, 2 miles out of town, are also a fantastic option for families.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, so it makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. Breathtaking Nidderdale begins just 4 miles from the town and features a whole host of fabulous beauty spots. We also highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley, combined with a visit to impressive Bolton Abbey, both 17 miles from the apartment.

York, 21 miles away, is also within easy reach for an exciting day trip. Spend time wandering the famous Shambles and visiting the city’s many historic sights.

Unfortunately the flat is situated on a busy crossroad with traffic lights at the front of the flat making ventilation difficult due to traffic noise and car fumes. Good to have off road parking on front area and good walking into centre of town Sainsbury's Local close by. The flat is small and basic certainly not comfortable to stay in all day if Read moreweather bad and nowhere to put wet coats etc. Kitchen equipment basic, no shelving in bathroom or space for clothes and coats in the winter months. This was a very nice comfortable property but I only gave a low score for the location with it being on the junction of 2 main roads which was sometimes very noisy other than that it was a very enjoyable time

The propert is a 15 min walk to town with numerous shops etc and sainsbury's local 2 mins walk. It's a real asset to have allocated parking. Cheap petrol station on main road. The property is on a busy/noisy junction but well placed for exploring the local area. There is a good wi-fi connection. Open plan kitchen/lounge, small bedroom with comfy beRead mored. Small bathroom/shower cubicle. Trains to York/Leeds etc easily accessible. We visited Knaresborough, Skipton and the Dales which were lovely. Hide

Nice little one-bed apartment. Sainsburys just up the road is handy and its a pleasant 10-15 mins walk into Harrogate town centre. Nice to come into a cosy, warm space when it was so cold out. Sophie was really helpful and responsive.
