Surrounded by acres of farmland with an abundance of walks and bike trails straight from the doorstep, this gorgeous property is the ideal rural haven for couples and families enjoying the outdoors. The stunning coastline of East Yorkshire is less than 5 miles away, or you can head 14 miles inland to visit the bustling historical market town of Beverley with its fantastic array of great places to eat, drink and relax.

A couple of steps lead up onto the veranda then through the patio doors and into the main living area of this spacious cottage. You will feel instantly at home in the bright and welcoming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with its polished wooden floors and light, inviting ambience. Cosy up on the large, comfortable sofas, enjoy a movie on the Smart TV or curl up with a good book in the evening. Gather round the dining table in the corner and share a fantastic family meal or a hearty breakfast before heading out to explore this spellbinding area. Head over to the stylishly designed kitchen which occupies the opposite corner and rustle up a feast using a wide range of equipment including an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine as well as a dishwasher and washing machine. Once it’s time to retire for the night, go upstairs where you will find two light and relaxing bedrooms. The first is a tastefully decorated double room with ample storage and a handy dressing table, and the second is a pretty twin room with a skylight set in the low sloping roof, which can be made up into a super-king-size room on request. To complete the accommodation, the soothing family bathroom features a shower over the bath, perfect whether you want a hot soak or a refreshing shower in the morning.

Stepping outside, the veranda provides a lovely spot for enjoying a morning coffee or some al fresco dining. The veranda has plenty of outdoor furniture and a charcoal BBQ, and makes a great space to sit back and relax in the evenings. Off-road parking is available for two cars, and you can use the shed for secure bike storage.

The cottage is ideally situated for anyone wanting to explore the glorious East Yorkshire coast. The southern point of the beautiful Fraisthorpe Beach is just 4 miles away, and stretches all the way up to the thriving resort of Bridlington (10 miles). Bridlington has a popular seafront with a bustling promenade, gorgeous beaches and the charming Georgian Old Town. Bird watchers can head to the RSPB site at Bempton Cliffs (18 miles) to spot razorbills, puffins and guillemots. Also nearby is the delightful Victorian resort of Hornsea (6 miles), home to a delightful beach, a fascinating museum, the stunning Hornsea Mere, Bugtopia Zoo and Wassand Hall.

Heading inland, the beautiful market town of Beverley (14 miles) is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets with the stunning 13th-century Beverley Minster often regarded as one of Europe’s finest Gothic churches. Take a look at the town’s medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional Yorkshire pubs where time has stood still for decades.

Heading west, get to know the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, a range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs at Flamborough Head. The gentle nature of the countryside here makes it an excellent location for walking and cycling.

The Wolds are also home to many historical homes and religious sites. And for kids, there are heaps of fantastic attractions nearby (indoor and out) including the Let Loose! Adventure Park just a mile from Beverley, and The Deep in the vibrant city of Hull (20 miles).

The cottage was perfect and the owners could not have been nicer. The welcome package was unbelievable - cakes, eggs, ham and milk. The farm delighted all the family especially the two 15 years old girls who loved being 'hands on' with all the animals. We all wished we could have stayed longer and will hopefully be back in 2024.
