Perfect for outdoors enthusiasts, this contemporary lodge in the Yorkshire Dales provides luxurious accommodation and boasts its own private hot tub.

Embrace the call of nature when staying in this rural haven, surrounded by North Yorkshire’s ever-changing scenery, and offering instant access to some of the area’s most dramatic walking routes, hiking pathways and cycling trails.

Despite its undoubtedly bucolic surroundings, this stunning single-storey property has been updated to offer luxurious and contemporary surroundings, with decor and fittings that are way ahead of its time.

Sleeping four guests across two wonderfully presented king-size bedrooms, this gorgeous accommodation choice lends itself perfectly to two couples holidaying together. The property boasts a type of splendour which would welcome an extra-special stay, perhaps whilst enjoying a celebration such as a joint anniversary or any other romantic event.

Designed to make the most of its surroundings, the first thing you’ll notice on entering this single-storey cottage is the impressive floor-to-ceiling windows and sprawling bi-folding doors. Located in the open-plan living space, a sociable hub of the house, these glass fixtures frame the surrounding trees and wildlife to make the landscape part of the aesthetic of the place. At the same time, the generous windows and doors ensure that the place is always flooded with light from each and every angle.

Always utilising the space in the most elegant way possible, the lounge portion of this open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner has been fitted with a stylish L-shaped leather sofa, an on-trend coffee table and a quality Smart TV that’s built into the wall. In fitting with the rest of the property, this space boasts a moody, monochromatic decor that will offer a fantastic backdrop for your holiday pictures.

This colour scheme continues into the up-to-date kitchen, a generous space where fixtures and fittings provide both style and utility. Take turns to cook up a feast as each day draws to a close, perhaps making full use of the fresh local produce sourced from nearby towns and villages.

Sit down next to one of the stunning floor-to-ceiling windows to enjoy dinner, collapsing into a comfortable chair around the circular dining table and admiring the stunning scenery all around. When homecooked meals have been served and heartily enjoyed, the necessary fitted dishwasher ensures that cleaning up won’t pose too much of a challenge.

To each side of the open-plan living space sits an impressive king-size bedroom. The near-identical nature of each bedroom ensures that neither couple is left fighting over the master, perfect for holidays where two couples are celebrating equally special occasions. Both bedrooms come complete with storage solutions for clothes, freshly laundered towels ready for a hot and steamy shower, and sumptuous mattresses to sink into as the day comes to an end.

Completing the interior are two en-suite bathrooms, each with backlighted mirrors for effortless makeup application, and stylishly fitted showers for washing off the great outdoors after hiking or cycling expeditions.

Arguably the most impressive part of this stunning property is the outside space, where a large rear terrace wraps around the back of the lodge with a charming brook bubbling by. Always matching the exterior of the property, the decking is made up of quality tiles and ultra-modern grey decking, which pairs perfectly with the gunmetal facade of this country retreat.

Take time to relax in the tranquillity of the sunken hot tub when the weather is right, listening as the brook’s waters flow past and the area’s wildlife gently chirps away. Offering a generous seating solution, the decking features an outdoor sofa space with a fire pit for keeping warm when the cold weather sets in. Unfold the impressive doorway to create an easy to navigate indoor and outdoor space throughout the summer months.

Of course, the property’s outdoor area is also equipped with plenty of functional devices. The all-important charcoal BBQ is on-hand for those unforgettable summer nights, whilst a boot-washing area, outdoor tap and secure cycle storage can be utilised during stays all year round.

This stunning property is located in the North Yorkshire hamlet of Elslack, a spot that’s nestled amongst the countryside and offers effortless access to tourist hubs including the market town of Skipton (5 miles) and the ever-popular Settle (14 miles).

Settle is a well-loved and bustling market town home to lots of lovely cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. There's also a thriving market held in the town every Tuesday - the perfect place to pick up everything from flowers to dinner that night. If real ale is your thing, there are three fantastic real ale pubs set around the marketplace, so you can choose which one to try each evening!

Just outside of town, you can hop on the Settle to Carlisle railway, one of the most scenic routes in the UK which will take you over the well-known Ribblehead Viaduct (25 miles). Beyond Settle, you have the exquisite delights of the Yorkshire Dales. And, as you would expect, the surrounding countryside here is simply magnificent, perfect if you want to strike out from the cottage in your walking boots or on your bicycle.

As mentioned, the historic town of Skipton (5 miles) is incredibly close by and offers a host of other attractions including its very own castle. There are lots of options to eat here as well as independent shops making it a great option for a full day out. Other nearby attractions include the Kilnsey Trout Farm and horse riding at Coniston, Malham.

It's a true walker's paradise here but if you're more of a roamer than a rambler, try a stroll around the grounds of Bolton Abbey (10.5 miles), a beauty spot that’s similarly close by. These gorgeous ruins provide the backdrop to a particularly beautiful part of the Dales and are well worth a visit. There are a host of other attractions all within easy reach including Malham Cove and Malham Tarn (both 11 miles).
