Featuring a lovely hot tub, this light, spacious and stylishly furnished lodge is ideal for couples or friends who love to explore the North York Moors, the Dales and the Yorkshire coast.

Providing cosy and relaxing holiday accommodation, this charming lodge is part of a delightful group of properties resting along the outskirts of Easingwold, surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery England has to offer. Set along the western edge of the sweeping Howardian Hills, there are incredible rural views all year round, alongside a picturesque assortment of market towns and quaint villages for you to discover. The historic market town of Easingwold boasts an excellent choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes and is nicely located for anyone heading out onto the North York Moors (9 miles). Discover the sparkling east coast, or head to the majestic city centre of York (17 miles) for a spot of retail therapy or to visit York Minster and an array of fantastic museums. For some memorable fun days out, visit the popular Flamingo Land Resort (21 miles) or the famous Castle Howard – a stately home with beautiful grounds, fountains, trails and lakes (15 miles). The lodge is handily located along the Route 65 bike trail and there’s an endless range of places to walk and cycle, including Malton (18 miles), known as the ‘foodie’ capital of North Yorkshire, and home to some wonderful weekend food festivals.

Situated within a small and idyllic parkland of lodges, this fresh, light and welcoming holiday retreat sits close to a lake and offers lovely views from the terrace. A few steps lead up to the front door and into this bright, inviting lodge. Once inside, the handy utility room provides a useful space for leaving coats and boots if you arrive back from your adventures wet and muddy! Then, head through into the spacious, light-filled open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to get a sense of cosy nights ahead. With plenty of light streaming in, this fresh and appealing space is perfect for unwinding at the end of a wonderful day exploring the Howardian Hills. Warm yourself in the lounge with its comfortable sofas and Smart TV and enjoy a film or chat about the day’s events. Gather around the sociable dining table – with ample space for four guests – to enjoy a family meal together. The stylishly designed kitchen has a wealth of equipment including a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher, so the chef of the group can prepare all your favourite dishes. The breakfast bar provides a great spot for grabbing a snack. Patio doors lead out from the living area onto the decked terrace, providing a delightful spot for dining alfresco. When you’re ready for bed, head along to the two cosy and generously proportioned bedrooms: you can choose between a charming king-size room which has its own en-suite shower room and plenty of space to hang your clothes, and a smartly decorated twin room. The accommodation is rounded off with a roomy bathroom with a shower over the bath, perfect for a relaxing soak at the end of a great day.

Stepping out through the patio doors, the pretty terrace makes a great space for you to sit back, refreshing drink in hand and enjoy the peace and tranquillity surrounding you. Throw a blanket down and take a picnic over to the lake and watch the swans glide across the water. After a long day of exploring, sink into the soothing hot tub for a luxury lodge experience.

The lodge sits in a wonderful location on the edge of the Howardian Hills, with the North York Moors just a few miles away. This stunning Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers glorious landscapes with wide fields and undulating hills, picturesque villages and impressive country houses. The North York Moors provide hundreds of miles of spellbinding walks and bike trails across glorious heather moorlands and ancient woodlands. The pretty Georgian market town of Easingwold (3 miles) offers a range of friendly pubs and eateries.

Heading south you can explore the historic city of York (18 miles). The jewel in North Yorkshire's crown, York is a favourite amongst even the most seasoned of travellers. This ancient walled city has been the north's spiritual capital for 2,000 years, but that's not to say it is stuck in the past; York's affluent population and its influx of tourist pounds has helped to create a cultural and commercial oasis. History seeps out of every cobbled street, but the crooked old buildings house a fantastic range of contemporary designer shops, cafes, restaurants and bars.

Everywhere in York is easily reachable by foot as this small but perfectly formed city houses most of its main attractions within the city walls. Town planning from the Middle Ages' means it can take quite some time to get your bearings but finding your way around the labyrinth of warped streets is part of the fun. Make sure you take in York Minster, The Shambles, the Railway Museum and Bettys Tea Room whilst you're there.

If you are looking for outside space in which to relax, you have the choice of a number of parks and gardens, including Dean's Park next to the Minster, the Yorkshire Museum Gardens next to the River Ouse and, slightly further afield, Rowntree Park with its children's playground, tennis courts and bowling green.

The beautiful market town of Helmsley (11.5 miles) is within easy driving distance and is well worth a visit. Head east to find Malton (18 miles), another gorgeous market town offering lots of lovely independent shops and cafes to indulge in.

Great location, close to town but far enough away to be quiet. A peaceful relaxing break.
