Spend a day browsing around the delightful town of Harrogate (15 miles), with its fabulous mix of cafes, art galleries, artisan shops and attractions including the Turkish Baths and the Royal Pump Room. Or head to the pretty village of Grassington (11 miles) – the location for the TV show All Creatures Great and Small.
