Enjoying a rural setting within a small village, this converted barn offers a wealth of walking from the front door. It’s a great base for exploring the national park’s breathtaking landscapes and surrounding market towns.
This peaceful holiday retreat is in a lovely Vale of York village that’s surrounded by picturesque countryside. A great base for exploring the nearby national park and market towns, it has a wealth of at-home entertainment including a fabulous hot tub, TVs in every bedroom and a ‘snug’ with its own TV and PlayStation. Up to two dogs are welcome and the three blissful bedrooms include a sublime master suite, ensuring this is a property your entire family will love.
Kick off your boots and hang up your coats as you enter, and you’ll feel immediately at home. Step up into the spacious lounge and you’ll find comfortable sofas and a large Smart TV – fire up the wood burner and settle in for a movie night, or chill out with some music on the wireless docking station. If children and teenagers want to do their own thing, let them take over the snug room next door where they can watch their own favourite shows on the Smart TV or immerse themselves in a PS4 game.
Mealtimes are when your family can really come together – prepare your favourite feast in the contemporary-styled kitchen (accessed via a couple of shallow steps) then gather around the dining table to tuck in and talk about your day. A useful downstairs cloakroom and utility room houses a freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer to complete your home-from-home housekeeping experience.
When night falls, take the stairs to a spacious first-floor landing, off of which you’ll find a fabulous super-king-size bedroom which has its own en-suite shower room, TV and plenty storage for all your belongings. There are two further bedrooms each with its own TV – one has a king-size bed and the other has a super-king-size zip-and-link which can be made up, upon request, as twins instead. A stylish family bathroom completes the convenience of this upper storey.
You’ll really appreciate the countryside setting when you slide open the patio doors and walk across to the large garden area where you can dine alfresco and wind down in the hot tub – a truly laid-back treat after a busy day. There’s a secure, lockable shed where you can store bicycles if you’d like to bring them, too.
