The Stray is opposite the apartment, and you must take a stroll through these beautiful gardens where your four-legged friend is equally welcome.

The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as the best place to live in the UK. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire town combines traditional elegance with contemporary style effortlessly. And the Duchy suburb is well known as being one of the most desirable postcodes in town.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has antique dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly around the Montpellier Quarter (0.5 miles). If buying old paintings and furniture isn't your bag, there are a host of other reasons to part with your cash in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Bettys Tearooms is a must and, if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the famous Turkish Baths. Rejuvenate spirit and soul after a day on the town. Harrogate is famous for its outdoor space with lots of parkland and greenery everywhere. The RHS gardens at Harlow Carr (1.5 miles) are also a fantastic option for a day out, although you will not be able to take your four-legged friend into the grounds.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, so it makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. The breathtaking Nidderdale is 15 miles north-west, and you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley (18 miles) combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 17 miles away.

York is within easy reach (23 miles) and a day trip to this beautiful medieval city is well worth it.

Excellent location, very nice apartment but extremely small shower room. Parking space quite small but I parked my Hyundai Tucson between the fixed bollards with a few inches either side. Supermarket, excellent variety of shops, open green spaces and restaurants are all within walking distance. I would book again.

The apartment was very central, with parking it was very clean and tidy fully equipped kitchen however we didnt use any cooking equipment. Bed was very comfortable, spacious bedroom plenty of storage and space.brilliant shower bathroom was a little compact but perfectly formed. A lovely welcome pack which is also a nice touch. A conveniently situated apartment, well decorated. However, the devil is in the detail. Housekeeping is adequate. Welcome pack provided crisps and a packet of shortbread but no milk, which meant a trip to buy after arriving in heavy rain. Niggles here and there that have been passed on. Overall, good but could do much, much better.

The flat is fantastic, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We would certainly stay there again. Great location for the bus & train stations , walks on the Stray, and to the town centre. Big shout-out to Chris who came over on Sunday evening to help us sort out the shower controls (probably our fault). We did a car-free holiday, and Harrogate is Read moregreat for days out, bus & train connections to loads of places, and a great little bus station. Hide

!SELECTED!Only two minor comments - a frying pan was provided which was not compatible with the induction hob and also the toiletry dispensers in the bathroom were all empty. Neither of these things detracted from our stay and overall we were very happy with our choice and the excellent location.!ENDOFSELECTED!

Cottage was everything we wanted. Close to rail and bus station and a very pleasant walk into town and the park. It was very well equipped with comfortable bed and good shower

One of the best properties we have stayed at. Everything you could want was available in the property. Location was excellent with everything within short walk..supermarket, restaurants, shops, train and bus station. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cherry View.

Fabulous stay at Cherry View we really enjoyed our three stay! Only spoiled at the end when Holiday Cottages told us the apartment was free to rent again at Christmas, only to find it wasnt and we couldnt rebook.

Cleanliness was to a higher standard, comfortable bed, clean fresh bed linen and towels For a compact apartment it had everything that was needed for our stay with a short walking distance to the town and amenities, excellent greenery opposite the apartment for people who take their dogs
