Holding an enviable position in the picturesque village of Lund, this stunning property is ideally situated for walkers and cyclists alike. You only have to take a short stroll through the village to a wonderful country inn or enjoy one of the beautiful footpaths nearby.

This former tailor’s workshop has been lovingly converted into an outstanding holiday home with a reverse-level layout to make the most of the charming leafy views. Step into the well-presented hallway, perfect for leaving behind coats and muddy boots after a day exploring the Yorkshire countryside. Here you will also find a utility cupboard with a washing machine, which is handy for mucky adventurers.

Off the hall are two luxurious bedrooms with inviting king-size beds topped with soft linens and sumptuous furnishings. Both these welcoming rooms feature their own stylish en-suite shower room with attractive tiling and modern finishes.

Heading up the stairs, you will find yourself in the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with sloping ceilings and character by the bucket load. Exposed beams fly overhead, and wooden flooring lies underfoot with large picture windows that capture the view and draw the eye to the treetops beyond. With plenty of comfortable seating and a Smart TV, the cosy lounge is the perfect place to socialise with family and friends whilst taking in the rural vistas.

Moving to the stylishly designed kitchen area, you will find it fully equipped with everything needed to whip up a storm, including an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and fridge with a freezer compartment. When dinner is ready, gather around the dining table to enjoy a delicious meal and plan the next day’s activities.

Large double doors from one of the bedrooms lead to a private enclosed patio area. Sit back and relax whilst enjoying a morning coffee or indulge in a sundowner or two followed by an al fresco meal at the petty bistro-style outdoor dining set. The garden can also be accessed from the parking area, where there is off-road parking for two cars and a secure bicycle store.

This lovely cottage in the picturesque village of Lund was very well set up and comfortable, with a smart kitchen area and two ensuite rooms with great showers. The seating area in this upside-down house looked out onto the garden. Everywhere was clean. The recommendations for meals out were spot on (the Wellington in the village and Westwood in BeRead moreverley). It was a great centre for visiting this part of Yorkshire. The host, Mr Booth, was friendly. A very enjoyable holiday. Hide
