Access the town centre within half a mile, wandering along handsome tree-lined streets filled with rows of traditional Victorian houses. Close to home you’ll find The Stray, a glorious town-centre parkland with stunning greenery and delightful views.

Wander up the garden pathway surrounded by greenery and let yourself into this commanding three-storey house. Complete with high ceilings, traditional moulding and quality furnishings, the lounge offers a truly relaxing place to spend time together. The generous allocation of sofas and armchairs are positioned around a feature fireplace and a flatscreen Smart TV, an ideal spot for whiling away an evening with your favourite TV show on in the background.

Head back into the hallway and continue through to the kitchen/diner at the rear of the property. The kitchen is any chef's dream, complete with an abundance of worktop space, each and every cooking utensil needed to whip up something tasty and pretty views to be admired whilst doing so.

With a dining table right here, you can all sit around and toast another successful getaway once dinner is served. The circular dining table is set with space for six guests to gather around and allows the conversation to flow freely with one another. Having the dining table in the kitchen means that the chef won’t have to break free from the conversation when serving up each and every course, ideal for those longer meals and more celebratory occasions. It’ll also ensure that piling dishes into the dishwasher is an effortless feat, saving you precious time relaxing with your loved ones.

French doors right here lead out onto a delectable terrace. Furnished with a bistro set for four, this spot is simply ideal for enjoying your first coffee morning coffee whilst listening to the buzz of the town as it wakes up for the day.

If you’re not an early riser, feel free to hunker down in the warm comfort of your bed and savour that sleep-in – you are on holiday, after all! The master bedroom can be found up one flight of stairs on the first floor. This extremely generous room boasts a beautifully elegant bed frame and matching storage solutions. The grand Victorian spa town of Harrogate is regularly listed as one of the best places to live in the UK. The truly gorgeous Yorkshire centre is celebrated for its effortless combination of traditional elegance and contemporary style.

Best known for its antiques and fine art, Harrogate has dealers and galleries around every corner, particularly in the fascinating Montpellier Quarter. If buying old paintings and furniture isn’t your passion, however, then there are lots of other pastimes you will enjoy in Harrogate. High fashion outlets nestle alongside lavish interior design boutiques, punctuated with enough fine restaurants and cafes to keep you fuelled for weeks.

A visit to Bettys Tearooms is a must and, if you have time, we highly recommend a session at the town’s famous Turkish baths, where you can rejuvenate your spirit after a day out on the town. If you are travelling with children, Harrogate is famous for its outdoor spaces with lots of parkland and greenery. The RHS gardens at Harlow Carr, 1.5 miles away, are also a fantastic option for families.

Harrogate is also very close to the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors, so it makes the perfect base from which to explore the glorious Yorkshire landscape and its many stunning natural sights. Magnificent Nidderdale is 10 miles north-west, and you will be driving through some of the most dramatic Dales scenery. We highly recommend a day trip to gorgeous Ilkley, 16.5 miles away, combined with a visit to Bolton Abbey, 17 miles away.

York, 23.5 miles from the house, is within easy reach for a day trip, and is the perfect place to potter in narrow shopping streets and dine out. While you are here, visit York Minster and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
