Soak up the scenery of magical Yorkshire from this single-storey, stone cottage near Hartwith. Sleeping just two guests, the bijou, one-bedroom abode makes an excellent, romantic retreat and a fabulous base for couples who enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. Nestled within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it offers access to an abundance of walks and cycle trails straight from its doorstep.

From the property, which has a charming, courtyard garden for outside relaxation, also find yourselves in an exceptional position for visiting the fascinating rock formations at Brimham Rocks, just 2 miles away, and the huge sculpture at Coldstones Cut, 11.5 miles away. This stands above a quarry and has fantastic views over Nidderdale. The location could also suit anyone wishing to visit the spa town of Harrogate, 9 miles away.

Take a couple of steps up into the beautifully presented cottage, which has been lovingly finished to provide a real home away from home. Leave your coats and muddy boots in the entrance after days out exploring Nidderdale and wander in to unwind in the warmth.

The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, which is flooded with light, boasts wonderful high ceilings and patio doors out to the courtyard garden. Prepare delicious dinners for two in here to enjoy at the table before cosying up on the comfortable sofas and watching a movie on the Smart TV.

Make your way down the corridor to the sumptuous king-size bedroom when you are ready to turn in for the night. Awake to enjoy a steaming hot shower in the family shower room before heading off for the day.

On sunny spring and summer mornings, have breakfast out in the courtyard. Light the BBQ out here too in the evening, perhaps enjoying a glass of wine under the stars as it heats up. There is parking for two cars at this cottage.

You’ll also find the self-proclaimed Oldest Sweet Shop in England, dating back to the early 1800s, here.

The cottage is also well positioned for exploring the Nidderdale landscape; this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is immediately adjacent to the Yorkshire Dales National Park. From our first impressions throughout the week until we left, this cottage was 'home from home' for us. A very high standard of property throughout. Open space at the front, access for parking was ideal. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly and available if we needed anything during our stay.
