A truly gorgeous one-bedroom cottage nestled in the pretty village of Kilburn on the cusp of the North Yorkshire Moors. The village offers a gastro pub within 100 metres and any foodies looking for a special culinary treat have The Black Swan Michelin-starred restaurant at Oldstead just over a mile away. For such a small village, Kilburn packs a real punch. Enjoy an exhilarating day out the Yorkshire Outdoors Centre which offers rough terrain driving in a 4x4, try quad bike trekking or clay pigeon shooting. Visit the mediaeval castle or the walled garden in Helmsley (10.5 miles) with its superb cafe. Helmsley boasts many independent shops, tearooms, an arts centre, a Norman castle and the National Birds of Prey Centre on the grounds of Duncombe Park. The outdoor opportunities are endless and are sure to make an unforgettable holiday!

On entering the cottage, you are greeted by the cosy sitting room with a wood burner and stylish Chesterfield sofas. This is the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day, snuggled up with your loved one warmed by the heat of the flames – pick a movie to watch on the Smart TV until it’s time to retire. Up a short stairway leads to the well-equipped modern country-style kitchen. Rustle up a romantic dinner and enjoy it at the dining table in the sunroom where there’s an additional comfortable sofa, ideal for enjoying the morning sun. Also located on the ground floor is the bathroom. Leading up from the kitchen to the first floor via an open-tread staircase is the romantic bedroom with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed which can be configured as a twin upon request. Enjoy the comfort and luxury of the bedroom, featuring uninterrupted views out of the picture window across to the White Horse of Kilburn, set high into the limestone of Sutton Bank.

From the sunroom, open the door to the rear courtyard featuring a hot tub, where you can ease your tired muscles after a long day exploring the moors. Take your morning coffee to the front of the cottage where you find another seating area with a bistro-style table and wake up to the sounds of birdsong before heading out on your next adventure.

Just returned from a long weekend and WOW what a fantastic weekend! The cottage was superb, and the location was stunning. You have to try the Sunday roast in local pub as well... probably the best roast dinner ever! Would highly recommend staying here.
