Osmotherley is a vibrant North York Moors village with streets lined with trees, greens and pretty stone cottages – among them, this beautiful stone bolthole for two.

Perfect for a romantic break with a loved one, this is a holiday pad where you can really recharge your batteries and reconnect; bring a four-pawed best pal and you’ll discover pet-friendly pubs and stores on your doorstep.

Private parking awaits your arrival, allowing easy unloading and offering peace of mind on those days when you want to explore your holiday location car-free. Once unpacked, you’ll see that together time is prioritised here. The open-plan living space, smartly furnished and clutter-free, offers somewhere to cook, dine and switch off from the outside world.

For effortless, home-from-home mealtimes, the kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Create indulgent meals for two and enjoy them leisurely at the table while discussing your next day’s plans.

Afterwards, settle down on the plush sofa and tune into your TV favourites. When it's time to sleep, head upstairs to the double bedroom which has an en-suite shower room and, for bedtime movies or a lie-in next morning, its own TV.

The lovely courtyard garden has walls for privacy and is pretty with seasonal planting. Enjoy morning coffee or a relaxing nightcap out here while your pet sniffs the fresh country air. If you’d like a little wander, the village shop and pub are within 150 metres.

Osmotherley is an excellent holiday base for walkers and cyclists. Situated within the western reaches of the North York Moors, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty since 1987, it is close to lush pastures and woodlands. Just over a mile away, Cod Beck Reservoir is a place where you can enjoy a pleasant 1.5-mile circular walk around the water.

Step out of your front door and one of the village’s many greenswards is right there. Osmotherley’s friendly local pubs and stores are all within strolling distance, while, for longer walks, the Cleveland Way passes through the village en route from Helmsley (15 miles) to Saltburn-by-the-Sea and then south along the North Yorkshire coastline to Filey (both a 25-mile drive).

Less than 12 miles from your holiday home, Thirsk is timeless and charming, its community life centred around a bustling cobbled market square where you can shop like a local twice a week. Thirsk is famous as the home of veterinarian James Herriot, and another famous son, Thomas Lord, who was the founder of Lord’s Cricket Ground – his birthplace is now the location of Thirsk Museum. For a further taste of Yorkshire life, visit Bedale (16 miles). Foodies will delight in the range of local produce including beers and cheeses, and there are enough antique shops and independent boutiques to suit every shopper’s appetite.

Lovely little apartment, located in a very nice village. It's small & compact but perfect for a couple and their little dog! The village, is very dog friendly, pubs & coffee shop. To the north there is a reservoir which was perfect to walk around in the sun. Very much enjoyed our stay

The owner was very welcoming and gave us good instructions on how to get in to the property as he wouldn't be there. Car was parked safely behind electric gates and the building was ideal for 2 people. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
