Turn dreams of country living into reality – this rural and tranquil retreat is set in rolling countryside on the edge of the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park, with stunning views over the surrounding fells and fabulous walks straight from the door.

Inside, a wealth of original features, including exposed beams and stone walls, add character and style to every room setting. Step inside the welcoming lounge and a wood burner takes centre stage. An old range cooker continues the heritage theme in the adjacent kitchen. Make time to enjoy the far-reaching countryside views from the pretty window seats when you awaken the next morning. To make the property even more family friendly, each bedroom has an additional futon bed to sleep two children on request.

Gaze over a patchwork of fields and stone walls from your beautiful enclosed garden, where there’s a large lawned area and plenty of seating for all to enjoy. There’s a gas griddle and a BBQ for alfresco feasts, and for the ultimate in laid-back luxury, a hot tub so you can bathe beneath the stars.

I would definitely recommend staying at this cottage. The location was excellent and the cottage itself was very well equipped and clean. What we really appreciated was the extra attention to detail found at the cottage which is often missing from many equivalent holiday homes. It had absolutely everything you'd ever need supplied...even small itemRead mores you'd never expect the owners to provide. It made the cottage feel more homely and it's clear that the owner takes pride in the state it's kept in. Hide

A very cosy cottage in a very picturesque location. Walks from the doorstep (when it's not torrential rain lol).

We have rented many beautiful cottages over the years, but this is my favourite to date. It ticked all my boxes: log burner, sociable kitchen, comfy king size beds, stylish decor, beautiful setting, good showers, plenty of high-quality kitchen utensils/pans/glasses etc. The list goes on! For us, it's the attention to detail that matters and that atRead moretention is everywhere at Stable Cottage. Happy memories that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you for creating this special place. Hide
