This chic and inviting top-floor apartment sits just 300 metres away from Scarborough’s beautiful sandy beach. Build timeless memories with the people you adore in this top-floor apartment in one of Scarborough’s grand Edwardian terraces. Sleeping four people across two inviting bedrooms, it’s an ideal accommodation choice for small families or close-knit groups of friends seeking an exquisite home that envelops you in relaxation while you’re busy discovering the unique character and coastal allure of North Yorkshire.

Take the stairs to the third floor to reach your charming apartment. Step inside and you'll be immediately captivated by the bright and airy lounge adorned in a harmonious blend of soft tones. Take a moment to relax in the lounge as you soak up the panoramic views over Scarborough. To the right, you can see a solitary windmill, to the left you can see the castle and the North York Moors, and straight ahead you can see the sea.

After relaxing, head to the galley-style kitchen, where you’ll find everything you need to whip up a delicious dinner for your loved ones. Invite everyone to the compact dining area and enjoy a sociable dinner while taking in the views over the town.

After dinner, take a leisurely stroll along the Esplanade, which is just 200 metres away from the apartment, and you’ll discover postcard view after postcard view of South Bay. Then come home to the lounge, pop open a bottle of your favourite wine and stretch out in front of your favourite TV show.

At the end of the day, you’ll discover two beautifully decorated bedrooms to choose from - one king-size and one double with a handy single bunk bed above it. Both offer wonderful views over the town.

Sitting on the beautiful Yorkshire coast, this property is perfectly positioned if you want to make the most of Scarborough’s stunning sandy beaches, quaint cafes and trendy restaurants. Stroll through historic alleys to Scarborough Castle (1.5 miles) - a lovely medieval castle sitting on a rocky ledge overlooking the North Sea.

Visit Peasholm Park (1.5 miles) to take a stroll around the lake, visit the pagoda and marvel at the waterfall. Play a round of mini-golf, enjoy a picnic on the lawn or feed the ducks. Stop by Peasholm Glen, a natural ravine with meandering walkways and lush greenery where you’ll often find creative exhibitions to browse.

Check out the town’s two remaining cliff tramways – including one of the oldest cliff tramways in the UK at Scarborough Spa (1 mile). One of Britain's oldest funicular cliff lifts, it originally opened back in 1875. It was originally run using seawater, but now the system uses electricity.

Further afield, wander through the enchanting alleyways of Robin Hood Bay (17 miles). This gorgeous village was built into a steep-sided valley, so its atmospheric streets are narrow and winding. There are many interesting shops and cafes to explore, as well as some fascinating art galleries. While you’re there check out the Old Coastguard’s Station, go for a stroll along The Old Cinder Track and stop off for afternoon tea at Falling Foss Tea Garden and waterfall. In the evening, yourself silly on a Robin Hood’s Bay Ghost Walk.

History buffs will adore spending an afternoon at the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (20 miles). It’s a great place to learn all about his voyages, as Cook, who was born in Whitby, learned to sail at nearby Robin Hood's Bay. Check out the original note written by King George III expressing his regret at the news of Cook's death.

Or get the gang together for a day out to remember at the wide sandy beach at Sandsend (22 miles). This is the perfect spot for swimming, sunbathing, surfing and sandcastle-building. While you’re there, pop into the Sandsend Museum to learn all about the village's history, from its fishing roots to its role during World War II.

My 2 (7 & 10) daughters loved it, especially the Seagull. I have no complaints on anything. We really enjoyed our time in Scarborough, and we'll be back.
