Drink in the crisp country air as you unwind in this blissful wooden lodge, surrounded by rolling countryside in a peaceful setting between Settle and Clapham. This charming retreat is a wonderful base for a romantic couples escape or relaxing solo retreat with waggy-tailed companions in tow. Crunch over leaves during an autumnal trek to traverse dense woodland paths and admire cascading waters from the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail (7 miles). Back at base, stretch out on the wooden veranda and sip a sparkling tipple as the sun slips below the horizon.

Outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike will delight in immersing themselves in the tranquil surroundings of this property. This charming glamping pod boasts a bright and cleverly designed interior to fully maximise the compact space. Enjoy fresh white and sunny mustard hues, clean lines, artfully draped throws, and breezy indoor-outdoor living.

After a day of adventuring in the Yorkshire Dales, step along the gravel pathway and onto the wooden porch. Settle on the bench to ease out of muddy boots. Prop open the patio and venture inside to scope out the well-appointed studio space. Raid the cupboards for some locally sourced treats then rustle up a simple supper in the kitchenette. Settle in for an intimate feast at the dining table or pad outside to dine alfresco on the decking.

As the evening draws in, snuggle on the sofa/day bed, and unwind with a movie before sinking into the soft sheets of the double bed nestled at the end of the room. Outside, soak in sweeping country vistas as you tuck into a spread of warm pastries and freshly brewed coffee.

This secluded countryside lodge is situated 7 miles from Settle, a well-loved and bustling market town home to lots of lovely cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops. There's also a thriving market held in the town every Tuesday – the perfect place to pick up everything from flowers to dinner that night. If real ale is your thing, there are three fantastic real ale pubs set around the marketplace, so you can choose which one to try each evening!

Just outside of town, you can hop on the Settle to Carlisle railway, one of the most scenic routes in the UK which will take you over the well-known Ribblehead Viaduct (13 miles). Beyond Settle, you have the exquisite delights of the Yorkshire Dales. And, as you would expect, the surrounding countryside here is simply magnificent, perfect if you want to strike out from the cottage in your walking boots or on your bicycle.

The historic town of Skipton (22 miles) is also close by and offers a host of other attractions including its very own castle. There are lots of options to eat here as well as independent shops making it a great option for a full day out. Other nearby attractions include the Kilnsey Trout Farm and horse riding at Coniston, Malham.

It's a true walker's paradise here but if you're more of a roamer than a rambler, try a stroll around the grounds of nearby Bolton Abbey (28 miles). These gorgeous ruins provide the backdrop to a particularly beautiful part of the Dales and are well worth a visit. There are a host of other attractions all within easy reach including Malham Cove and Malham Tarn (both 14 miles).

Very basic inside, 2 hobs and microwave for cooking. Shower was lovely and bed was very comfortable . Beautiful views and the surrounding villages were lovely. A lovely rural location. Very quiet and comfortable with lovely views. Trails, eaterys, ameneties and points of interest are all within a short drive. Brilliant shower and lovely comfortable furnishings. The enclosed area is not suitable for large or small dogs as there is a stone bench next to the wall and a large gap beneath the gate.

What a wonderful find! Absolutely perfect. Private, secure and cosy. The bed was really comfortable and the shower surprisingly powerful. I was able to enjoy sitting outside with our reactive dog, without a worry.

Cosy hideaway with a lovely view, we were lucky to get a sunny evening to sit out and enjoy it. As someone else said it isnt totally secure for small dogs, also some things in the advert aren't there anymore such as the outdoor table and chairs or bbq, luckily we took a disposable one.

Please be aware...this accommodation is small to say the least. Suited for a younger generation and Situated in a lovely spot away from anywhere. The enclosed garden is not secure for a pet as there is a gap of at least 12 inches under the gate. Facilities are only basic but if you just want this as a base to stay at, then it's OK. Would we stay heRead morere again? Definitely not. Hide
