On a warmer summer’s evening, throw open the patio doors to relax to the sound of birdsong and gentle ripples of the private lake.

Grab the local produce you’ve collected from Beverly’s weekly market and rustle up a home-cooked meal in the contemporary kitchen, equipped with everything you need to make a fabulous feast that you can enjoy with something chilled seated at the rustic dining table or during tomorrow’s romantic picnic.

Illuminated by a driftwood light fixture, carefully reclaimed from the lake itself, the bedroom beckons tired travellers with its soothing atmosphere. The room has a rustic charm; a handmade king-size bed awaits, along with luxury robes providing the utmost comfort and relaxation. Adjacent to the bedroom, there is an en-suite bathroom, which features a spacious walk-in shower, a reclaimed stone-crafted sink and extra special contemporary touches that ensure getting ready for the day’s adventure is as luxurious as it can be.

The beautiful market town of Beverley is one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets with its stunning 13th-century Beverley Minster often regarded as one of Europe’s finest Gothic churches. Marvel at the town’s medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional Yorkshire pubs that remain almost untouched by time, as charming as they are cosy.

Beyond the town, you’ll get to know the breathtakingly beautiful and unspoilt Yorkshire Wolds very well by exploring the range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs at Flamborough Head. The gentle nature of this surrounding countryside makes it an excellent spot for walking, cycling and a scenic picnic.

The Wolds are also home to many historical homes, religious sites, and one of Yorkshire's largest lavender gardens. There are heaps of fantastic attractions nearby (indoor and out) including the amazing marine life at The Deep in Hull (19.5 miles) and over 120 stalls at the Beverley Market (14.5 miles) held every Saturday. The Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors, as well as the beautiful, historic city of York (28 miles) make for great days out.
