Brimming with eclectic charm, this elegant brickwork cottage is set on a row of stylish properties and features an enclosed lawned garden. Situated in the charming Yorkshire town of Osmotherly, this artistic abode is perfect for a family escape or reunion with friends plus a couple of furry tag-a-longs. Traverse along glistening waters and light-dappled trails beneath the towering trees of Cod Beck Reservoir (1 mile). Back at base, sink onto the plushly upholstered seating and toast to your special occasion with a chilled glass of fizz.

This traditional building encompasses a beautifully bright interior. Picture intricate antique-style furnishings, glossy gold fixtures, and vivid fuchsia tones complemented by crisp neutrals. After a day of adventures, arrive at the cobblestone entrance and step inside to ease off muddy boots in the reception room.

Keen chefs can thumb through a cookbook from the shelf and then rustle up a summer spread in the airy Shaker-style kitchen. Pour a selection of pre-dinner tipples or graze through a snack board perched at the sleek marble worktops. Congregate at the bench seat for a sociable breakfast or afternoon soiree. Continuing into the diner, settle onto the high-backed chairs for an opulent evening feasting affair.

Step down into the lounge and bask in the roar of the wood burner as you stretch out beneath the quirky framed prints. Unwind with a family favourite on the Smart TV or whip out the board games for some easy evening entertainment. Ascend the stairs to find a spacious en-suite king-size on the first floor, or venture to the second floor to find a stylish double and a twin. Each room has a distinct style with thoughtful furnishings. Stepping outside, furry friends and little ones can play on the enclosed lawn, just 20 metres from the front door.

This inviting cottage is situated in the heart of Osmotherley, a vibrant little village that is well-known as a starting point for walkers and cyclists. This gorgeous little place is real picture-postcard stuff. It also offers excellent facilities including a cafe, village stores and a fish and chip shop. If you're a bit of a foodie, this part of Yorkshire is packed with fantastic gastropubs, restaurants and delis.

Situated within the western reaches of the North York Moors, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1987, the village has close proximity to lush pastures and woodlands. The western moors play host to grand country houses, atmospheric ruins and handsome market towns, and the views from here are simply stunning, with walks and cycle routes in every direction. You are very close to the famous Cleveland Way as well as many more well-known and picturesque moorland walks, some of which lead all the way to the sea.

The beautiful market town of Helmsley (16 miles) is within easy driving distance and is well worth a visit. If you fancy a little pampering, you'll find the Verbena Spa here, perfect for a little me-time indulgence.
