Stay at this charming, contemporary family cottage nestled within a sleepy picture-postcard village within the Yorkshire Wolds. With ample room for four guests and two canine companions, this is the ultimate retreat for tranquillity and relaxation.

Tucked away in a peaceful village, you're within 1 mile of a traditional pub and 6 miles of the lively market town of Driffield, yet you can still enjoy the peace and quiet of countryside walks and bike rides from the doorstep. A stay at this cosy abode is the perfect base from which to explore the stunning Yorkshire countryside and the North Yorkshire Heritage Coast.

Inside, you'll find an intimate setting with unique character, dopamine-infused design and maximised space and functionality. This home has been highly considered to provide families and groups of friends with a cosy hideaway to unwind in after long days of sightseeing.

On entry, you are welcomed with a trendy farmhouse-style kitchen with vibrant tones and equipped with everything needed to ensure a stress-free stay. Indulge in some locally caught seafood from Bridlington (there are several to choose from) and rustle up some homemade battered fish and triple-cooked chips with all the trimmings. When you've finished cooking, gather around the dining table in the lounge and concoct your plans for the coming days. Head back to the kitchen, where plates can be stacked in the dishwasher and walking clothes can be whipped through the washing machine ready for tomorrow.

In the evening, settle down on one of the armchairs with a thriller in hand and a glass of freshly poured wine in the other. The central wood burner will create a toasty atmosphere from which to indulge in a few pages of your new favourite novel.

Upstairs, discover two bedrooms, a king size and single with pull out trundle, both decorated in calming, neutral tones with vibrant splashes of colour. Slip into a slumber in either room and enjoy a restful night's sleep. Sandwiched between the two rooms is the family bathroom, equipped with a shower over the bath for those leisurely morning soaks or a rejuvenating rinse.

The charm continues into the garden, which is shared with the home next door. In the morning, watch as your four-legged friends sniff out the local greenery while you make a piping hot cup of tea and nurse it while sitting at the picnic area.

The beautiful market town of Beverley is one of Yorkshire's best-kept secrets, with its stunning 13th-century Beverley Minster often regarded as one of Europe's finest Gothic churches. Take a look at the town's medieval architecture before indulging in a spot of shopping around its lively cobbled squares. Finish off with a drink in one of the traditional Yorkshire pubs where time has stood still for decades. And beyond the town, get to know the gorgeous Yorkshire Wolds, a range of low rolling hills rising from the River Humber and sweeping along to the stunning cliffs at Flamborough Head. The gentle nature of the countryside here makes it an excellent location for walking and cycling.

The Wolds are also home to many historical homes and religious sites, as well as one of Yorkshire's largest lavender gardens. And for kids, there are heaps of fantastic attractions nearby (indoor and out), including The Deep in Hull (31 miles). The Yorkshire coast, North York Moors and beautiful city of York are also all within easy driving distance and make for a great day out.
